Eiichiro Oda's One Piece is currently tackling the climax of the Elbaf arc, and it's clearly one of the most exciting parts of the story, with massive battles set up in the land of giants. While the action portion of this arc has been nothing short of sensational, Oda has not disappointed when it comes to it One Piece lore either.
In the Elbaf arc, Eiichiro Oda officially set up the reveal of multiple gods and even introduced multiple divine entities. The sun god Nika was already revealed to us in One Piece Chapter 1044 on March 28, 2022 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #17. Eiichiro Oda also revealed the Warrior God, whose powers are currently wielded by Loki, in One Piece Chapter 1175 on March 2, 2026. Finally, there is Nerona Imu, the Devil God, whose powers were officially revealed in Chapter 1179. With these 3 Gods revealed, there are 3 officially revealed after Oda will be revealed. The Elbaf arc, and they are the Forest God, Rain God, and Earth God, all of which were officially mentioned in One Piece first in Chapter 287 and later brought back into relevance in Harley in One Piece Chapter 1138.
One Piece Chapter 1182 Officially Sets Up the Reveal of Rain God Zaza, Forest God, and Earth God after Elbaf
The Gods of the One Piece the world was mentioned long ago in the pre-timeskip era of the series, specifically in the Skypiea arc. In One Piece Chapter 287, which was officially released on August 11, 2003, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Double Issue #37-38, Eiichiro Oda showed some of the traditions of the Shandians when they were still living in Jaya and Noland had just visited them. At that time, the Shandians clearly prayed to four special gods that existed in One Piece the world, and these were the sun god, the rain god, the forest god and the earth god. When Skypiea was first written in manga, most fans, most of us treated it as superstition from the Shandians. But when Luffy was confirmed as the world's sun god in One Piece Chapter 1044 on March 28, 2022, we immediately started making connections with the Skypiea reveal and understood that these gods could potentially exist in the One Piece world.
“God of the sun, god of the rain, god of the forest, god of the earth, take this woman's blood and save our village from disaster.” — One Piece Chapter #287 officially sets up the four main gods.
Fast forward to Elbaf's One Piece Chapter 1138, released on February 3, 2025, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #10, Eiichiro Oda revealed The Harley to us, telling the story of a battle fought long ago and predicting a battle that will be fought in the future. These battles mentioned all of these gods, which officially confirms to us that 3 more gods will appear after the events of Elbaf. What really sealed the deal with regards to these gods was One Piece Chapter 1182, released on May 10, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shounen Jump Issue #24. In this chapter, Saint Killingham used the powers of his Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Kirin, to manifest the Rain God Zaza.
“We were born in a place so high, it's mainly the rain clouds. Water coming down from the sky? It's a mysterious terror! After the people of D and Nika, it was the most common boogeyman they warned us that…that in the lower world there is a monster called the Rain God that dumps water on top of your head!” — Saint Killingham officially declares the rain god Zaza, One Piece Chapter #1182
Killingham also officially stated that, along with the people of D and the sun god, the rain god Zaza is a being feared by all celestial dragons, confirming its existence in the world of One Piece. With Rain God Zaza, fear comes from its ability to manipulate rain and dump massive amounts of water on top of one's head. The Heavenly Dragons all fear this divine being, and even though we have only seen the MMA version of the Rain God Zaza, the true power of this God will emerge in the final saga in one way or another.
Why the rain god Zaza will ally with the sun god in the final saga
One Piece Chapter 1182 also set up the Rain God Zaza as an enemy of the World Government, given that the Heavenly Dragons fear Zaza the same way they fear the people of D and the Sun God. It is now officially confirmed in the story that Zaza will ally with the Sun God and decide to fight against the World Government. Whenever Zaza appears, this divine being will fight alongside Luffy, which is something we absolutely cannot wait to see.
With the revelation of the rain god Zaza, two of the four gods mentioned in the One Piece Chapter 287 has now been confirmed, which also sets up the existence of the other two, those of the Forest God and the Earth God.

Eiichiro Oda has officially upgraded the Haki of Luffy in the battle against Nerona Imu in chapter 1186 of the manga.
One Piece's Forest God and Earth God will be key in the Great War
With the sun god Nika has descended upon the world of One Piece and Rain God Zaza is officially introduced in Elbaf, our attention shifts to the God of the Forest and God of the Earth One Piece world. Unfortunately, very little is known about these entities at this time, and we have no idea who may possess these powers and when they will appear. Considering One Piece is in its final stretch, their reveal shouldn't be too far off now.
“Within the void was breath. The forest god tamed the demons, and the sun spread the fires of war. Those of the crescent dreamed. Those of the moon dreamed. Man killed the sun and became God, and the sea god stormed. And they will never meet again.” — Harley introduces the Forest God, One Piece Chapter #1138
The Forest God was briefly mentioned in Harley in One Piece Chapter 1138 and is said to have the power to send out demons, which can potentially bond with Devil Fruit users. How the Forest God will affect the Great War, and on whose side they will fight, remains to be seen. Then there's the earth god, who apparently fought the sun god Nika when he looked at the stories in Harley. As such, the Earth God will likely stand against Luffy and the Rain God Zaza whenever it is revealed. We eagerly await the reveal of these three great gods after the events of Elbaf, and are curious to see who will hold onto these powers and how they will affect the flow of things in the final segment of the story.
