Chugon's Solo Leveling is arguably the most famous and influential manhwa of all time. Anyone remotely familiar with anime or webtoons recognizes Sung Jin-woo and fellow hunters like Cha Hae-In, Thomas Andrea, and Go Gun-Hee—they border on iconic. Due to its popularity, none of the characters can be described as unknown, and that honestly extends to Ragnarök spinoff… but I can't say the same for Netmarble's Solo Leveling: Arise game.
Although set in an alternate timeline, the free-to-play gacha game is considered multiverse canon, meaning its original characters aren't just fan fiction. While hunters from the manhwa are available, some of the Arises strongest characters are exclusive to it, at least for now. Even if you don't intend to play the game, you should still know these powerful hunters.
Apparently, Solo Leveling: Arise is quite popular, so many people know these characters. That said, someone who only sticks to manhwa or anime is missing out on some great hunters. Except for one character, all of these hunters have webcomic origin stories that are worth reading, even if you don't plan to play Arise.
Also, I focus mostly on lore, with only a few references to it Arises meta.

Charlotte & Harper are OP pint-sized sibling hunters
Two Solo Leveling Hunters are better than one
Solo Leveling looks beyond South Korea to some extent, but other countries may get a single sign (usually their strongest). Despite being made up of multiple countries, Britain doesn't even get a showcase hunter in the main manhwa, so readers would be forgiven for thinking that Britain has nothing to show off.

Solo Leveling: Top 14 Female Characters, Ranked
Solo Leveling is home to a large collection of fantastic characters. Here are the best women featured in all of anime and manhwa.
Well, Solo Leveling: Arise fixes that oversight by introducing several British hunters, starting with sibling duo Charlotte and Harper. Part of the game-exclusive Helpers guild, the sisters are probably the most “childlike” hunters in the franchise, even though they're actually 16 and not that young. Still, they have a playful energy that really helps sell their designs and personalities.
Although they are only A-Rank, Charlotte and Harper should really be taken as a unit, and they work so well together that they can be compared to many lower S-Rank hunters. While Charlotte fights with dolls, Harper wields a heavy club twice her size, acting as the physical powerhouse that complements her sister's magical prowess.

Isla Wright can predict the future
She believes in the power of her cards
Naturally tied to Charlotte and Harper, Isla Wright is far more powerful than her A-Rank and Healer ratings suggest, and is actually one of the stronger playable characters. Focusing solely on knowledge, Isla's special power allows her to predict the future with tarot cards, although the information can sometimes be vague. This inherently incredible ability could easily be one of the most OP i Solo Leveling if used to its full potential.
Despite her A-Rank classification, Isla might as well be an S-Rank, as she comfortably ranks among the most powerful playable characters in the meta. Her mastery of darkness allows her to deal significant damage, while also serving as a great support that can boost the entire team. In general, she is somewhat held back by her lack of self-confidence, which leads to hesitation when action is called for. However, she is still among the Helpers guild's most useful members.

Emma Laurent is a fiery hunter with an eye for revenge

No Hunter Origin
Since she debuted before Hunter Origin comics became a thing, Emma never got one of her own, which is a shame, because she's both cool as hell and really strong. In her first teaser, the French hunter was ranked as an A-Rank, but Netmarble chose to raise her to S-Rank before she became playable. This change was 100% justified, as Emma behaves like an absolute monster in dungeons.
Emma's core mechanics utilize her exclusive fire-blasted grapple and revolve around scaling her damage directly from her Max HP, making her a massive tank that hits like a literal freight train. She is also one of the most reliable Break characters in Solo Leveling Arisewhich makes her incredibly valuable against tougher enemies with high defense.
Generally speaking, Emma's cheerful exterior hides a traditional revenge tale, as she wants to take out whoever is responsible for her brother's death. Because of how everything worked out, she believes that Alicia Blanche is responsible, but that quickly turns out not to be the case.

Alicia Blanche is Europe's most powerful hunter
The ice witch
If I had to choose an original Arise character that feels most like a protagonist in wanting, Alicia Blanche would be that hunter.
First, she's known as the “Ice Witch,” a cool title that reflects her complicated backstory (she was blamed for her father's death, leading to the demise of their legendary guild). Second, she acts as the Guildmaster of Justitia, an organization she built from the fallen remnants of her family's legacy. Third, she served as the main character in the first Hunter Origin web series, which is one of the most tragic.

10 Strongest Solo Leveling Hunters Officially Confirmed for Season 3
Solo Leveling Season 3 is officially underway, and it will bring back powerful hunters who stand at the pinnacle of humanity.
Finally, Alicia's toolbox places her comfortably alongside hunters like Choi Jong-In, as she manipulates water and ice to freeze high-level dungeon bosses or trigger sudden blizzards. Arguably Europa's strongest character in the entire franchise (which isn't saying much, to be honest), she is one of Arises real staple hunter that can be placed in most teams without any problems.

Amamiya Mirei is a demon
Well, she merges with a demon
Solo Leveling contains quite a few S-Rank Japanese hunters, although the raid on Jeju Island leaves the list somewhat depleted. If only they had a deadly assassin who could turn into a demon that deals absurd wind damage!
Written as a hyper-focused, deadly assassin, Mirei is not just an ordinary hunter with a sword. She acts as a spirit medium, binding her soul to a powerful, ancient guardian cat spirit named Kuroha. Together they form a double-unit combat unit that moves too fast for the naked eye to track. When she channels Kuroha and enters her ultimate state, he gains massive increases in her abilities, making him an absolutely dangerous damage dealer.
Although none of Arises recruitable hunters are almost as broken as Sung, Mirei comes closest, especially in her lore.
