5 swordsmen who can compete with Dracule Mihawk

Dracule Mihawk is the world's greatest swordsman in One Piece and an individual who has tremendous strength. He was recently revealed to have a bounty of 3.590 billion berries, and that puts into perspective how much of a threat he is to the World Government. In terms of strength and build, Mihawk ranks among the elite One Piece World.

His skill with the sword is said to be second to none; but that certainly doesn't mean that no one can compete with him in terms of swordsmanship. In fact, there are several characters stronger than him One Pieceand at the same time swordsmen who can give him a run for his money.

Flower Sword Vista

• 5th Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates

• Haki Type: Armament, Observation

Flower Sword Vista is the former 5th Division Commander of the Whitebeard Pirates, and he has already clashed with Mihawk once in the Paramount War Arc. Of course, it goes without saying that Vista is not as strong as Mihawk and that the difference in strength between these two individuals is absolutely huge. But Vista is still a very skilled person who cannot be easily beaten by anyone.

Even Mihawk came to acknowledge his skills with the sword, and that's saying a lot. The battle between Mihawk and Vista in Marineford ended in a stalemate. In fact, Vista did incredibly well against him. Fans also haven't seen the full power of Vista. That said, we know he's a user of powerful Armament and Observation Haki, and together he can really give me a fight he'd appreciate.

Roronoa Zoro

• The strongest Straw Hat officer

• Haki Type: Armament, Observation, Conqueror

Swordsman of the Straw Hat Pirates and the strongest officer in Luffy's Yonko crew, Zoro is a force to be reckoned with for all at sea. Although he is not at his peak yet, he is still strong enough to give Mihawk a great challenge and even hurt him in battle.

Zoro is a user of all three Haki types, and he is still maturing at an incredible rate. Fans have seen him climb higher in terms of strength with each passing arc, as he hasn't achieved his goal yet. When it comes to simply competing with Mihawk, Zoro can certainly put up a great fight and easily impress the greatest swordsman.

Fujitora

• A powerful naval admiral

• Haki Type: Armament, Observation

Fujitora is a navy admiral, and just by being one we know he has a 3 billion bounty on his head. In terms of power, we also know that Admirals can fight Yonko, although they can't defeat them. This puts Fujitora in a somewhat similar range. Of course, his use of the sword is not traditional.

He uses gravity with his sword, Yakuza Kasen, which is why he technically shouldn't be considered in the World's Strongest Swordsman competition. Still, he is a swordsman and someone more than capable of matching Mihawk in battle. He is incredibly powerful, and his Devil Fruit makes him a resourceful fighter with abilities that not many can match. Combined with his brilliant use of Haki by Armament and Observation types, we know for sure that Mihawk wouldn't have an easy time against him and would relish a challenge from the blind admiral.

Saint Ethanbaron V. Nusjuro

• A powerful elder

• Haki Type: Armament, Observation, Conqueror

Recently, in the Final Saga, Oda introduced the Elders to the fans, and of them, St V. Nusjuro turned out to be a mighty powerful swordsman. He wields a top class sword called Shodai Kitetsu, and at the same time wields an overwhelmingly powerful Haki equal to or greater than Yonko.

Fans know that Zoro possesses immense strength and skill. He also has the Yokai ability of Bakotsu, which gives him incredible speed and at the same time the ability to freeze individuals. On top of all that, he is an immortal being who, despite being damaged to his core, simply keeps coming back.

As such, there is absolutely no way that Mihawk can easily defeat Nusjuro, even if his swordsmanship is superior to him, which is also debatable. Considering that Nusjuro has not involved himself in the events of the world, he may well be stronger than Mihawk in One Piece.

Shanks

• A mighty emperor with the strongest Haki

• Haki Type: Armament, Observation, Conqueror

Portrayed by Oda as the strongest Haki user alive right now, Shanks is a monster for anyone to handle and fight. He and Mihawk have a huge rivalry that goes back many decades. This rivalry was uneasy, meaning that neither was ever declared the winner.

Shanks is a great swordsman; but his use of Haki is what makes him truly special. In terms of skills with the blade itself, Shanks is not as good as Mihawk. But overall he is still stronger than him thanks to his Haki. If these two were to go all out, Shanks would surely win here. In terms of swordsmanship, however, Mihawk is superior.
