The latest addition of the filter wish list for Xbox has revealed the most anticipated games coming to the Microsoft console. Xbox's top wishlist is a mix of big third-party releases and massive first-party games.
Xbox has seen a major shift in direction since its new leadership took over in early 2026. Asha Sharma officially took the reins as CEO of Xbox on February 20, succeeding longtime Xbox boss Phil Spencer at a tumultuous time in Xbox history. Sharma has helped usher in some big changes across the board for Xbox, from lowering the price of Game Pass to moving Xbox towards high-profile exclusives and away from multi-platform releases. Now, a brand new filter added to the Xbox Store shows which upcoming games have Xbox fans most excited.

Xbox's new wishlist filter gives a closer look at which upcoming titles fans are most looking forward to. Grand Theft Auto 6 tops the list, with Microsoft's first-party RPG Fable takes second. Subway 2039, Halo: Campaign Evolvedand Euro Truck Simulator 2 round up the 5 most popular games on Xbox. Other games in the top 10 include Pokémon developer Game Freak's The Beast of Reincarnation, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantisand Minecraft Dungeons 2. The list only counts the base versions of each game, and some also have special premium editions on the Xbox Store.

The most listed games on Xbox include many expected entries at the top of the list. Grand Theft Auto 6 has easily been the hottest story in the gaming industry, with the latest open-world game from Rockstar breaking records and winning awards before its full release. Several first-party Microsoft games appear on the list, with Fable, Haloand State of decay 3 everyone sees high wish lists among fans on Xbox. Several other Microsoft games in development also appeared just outside the top 10, including Xbox exclusives Clockwork Revolution and Gears of War: E-Day.
Xbox's lineup for the rest of 2026 looks to be stacked with a slew of big games set to launch. Microsoft fans don't have to wait much longer to dive in Halo: Campaign Evolvedwith the remake of the first Halo the game will be officially released on July 28th. The aforementioned The Beast of Reincarnation will also make its long-awaited debut before the end of summer 2026, scheduled to release on August 4 as a Day One title for Xbox Game Pass.
Microsoft looks to have a lot going into 2027 as well, starting the year with some big first-party releases. Microsoft and Playground Games recently launched Fable into February 2027, likely to avoid competing with the launch of Grand Theft Auto 6 in November. Atlus confirmed the release date for Persona 4 Revival during the Xbox Games Showcase too, with Personas 4 remake also scheduled to debut in February. Xbox's lineup of upcoming games should give fans plenty to look forward to from Microsoft.
