Delta rune is a very popular indie title filled with secrets, puzzles and special easter eggs. There are several small interactions across the game's chapters that can lead to various surprises, like secret boss fights or even unpleasant items in your inventory. One such object is Egg.
Eggs are secret items that you can find in each chapter, and while they don't have a tangible effect on your gameplay, they're one of the fan favorite collectibles. If you want collect all four eggs Delta runehere is a comprehensive guide to each egg room's location and the steps to access it.
Updated June 27, 2026 by Waseem Muhammad: With the release of Deltarune Chapter 5, Kris and their friends can now experience the festival as well as explore a whole new dark world. The new chapter also adds new weapons, armor, a secret boss fight, and an egg. This egg is just as tricky to find as those in previous chapters, making it unlikely that you'll stumble upon it naturally. This guide has now been updated with a new section covering the location of eggs in Chapter 5, along with warnings about what might cause you to miss certain eggs.

How to find all egg rooms in Deltarune
Currently there is five eggs for you to collect Delta runeone for each chapter. Each egg is located in a secret location, which can be accessed after solving a complex series of puzzles, sometimes accompanied by different actions or interactions as well. Each of the five locations has a hidden egg Delta rune are listed below.
Chapter 1 Egg Room Location in Deltarune
To find the egg room in Chapter 1, you must first reach the area with the giant birds and the clock tower, a unique area that becomes available in the latter half of the Dark World segment. The trick here is in room connected to the room with Starwalker.
You cannot access this room if you have cleared the final boss in Chapter 1, so try to get it before progressing through the chapter.
You need go back and forth between the room with the clock and the one holding the Starwalker. You will have to repeat this action over and over (and it may take 20 or more tries), as there is only one about a 2 percent chance that the egg chamber will be created. Eventually you'll warp into a hidden room with a red tree and a strange man behind it.
You have to go behind the tree and interact with the NPC. Eventually you will get a choice that says “He offered you something”, with the options Yes and No. Select Yes to accept the egg and No to reject the egg.
Once you have picked up the egg, you must go back to the three rooms you came through, where the dark ones will have respawned, so make sure you are well prepared.
Chapter 2 Egg Room Location in Deltarune
The Chapter 2 Egg Room is located in the Alleyway area right after the traffic light minigame. After you clear the minigame and enter the alley there will be a scene there Kris is run over by Toby Fox in the alley.
Since a The “Game Over” screen will appear, which will also run over shortly thereafter. Then you will be standing near a garbage can and some graffiti that refers to a tree. This is your signal.
Similar to the egg in chapter 1, also the egg room in chapter 2 has a 2 percent chance of appearing. So if you are lucky you can get it in 50 tries otherwise it can take quite a long time.
Start go back and forth between the alley and the main area. After several transitions, the room appears randomly. You will enter a secret space that looks distinct. Here you will find the mysterious figure hiding behind a tree again.
Walk into the shadows behind the tree to trigger a conversation with him. When you start the dialog, you will eventually see a choice: “He might be glad to see you,” with the choices Yes and No. If you choose Yes, you get the egg, while choosing No gives you nothing.
Chapter 3 Egg Room Location in Deltarune
Unlike the previous eggs, the the process of reaching the egg room in Chapter 3 is the most elaborate of them all. First, progress to the TV world. Solve the TV quizzes to unlock a secret door, which leads to a block-throwing mini-game across a river. Use Susie to throw the block through the bushes and reach the other side.

Once that's done, enter the Green Room and make your way to a strange NPC who accuses you of cheating. Choose the “Cheater” and “Nowhere” dialogue options when prompted. This takes you to Nowhere, a follow-up to the previous river puzzle. Cross the newly completed bridge and press the button to continue.
From there, find the NPC in front of the big screen and keep talking to him repeatedly. Eventually a wardrobe will appear. Open it to get a travel ticket. Take the travel ticket to the warp door leading to Goulden Sam and inspect the garbage can with the lid closed to find a hidden Ribbick.
Players who have already claimed the Shadow Mantle cannot earn the travel ticket this way, as the screens will be turned off. Talking to the Bibliox near the disabled screens will reveal that the ticket is now underneath ball machinewhich can be found beyond the B-rank prize door accessed via the TV Time Green Room.
After reaching that room, players must deposit 1,225 points into the machine next to the ball machine and then enter the ball machine. Players should then go down and to the right in the red maze, interact with the small ball machine they find, and interact with the spark on the ground in the B-rank room to retrieve the travel ticket.
During the battle, go to the ACT menu and press the left arrow instead of selecting an action. This will take you to the Forgotten Isle. Go there behind the tree and talk to a clothed figure. You must answer the following dialog box correctly:

Complete this interaction and you will be rewarded with the egg.
If done before acquiring the Shadow Mantle, the process will work without a problem. Once the Mantle is acquired, the Egg Room becomes inaccessible.
Chapter 4 Egg Room Location in Deltarune
The last known egg room is in Chapter 4, located within the second sanctuary's long hall filled with stained glass windows. The area contains various stories from alien creatures and ends in a moss shrine.
Among the many windows, you must carefully pick out a window near the end of the corridor with a round, egg-like shape at the top. It is subtly different from the others, which resemble inverted egg shapes.
Enter this specific window. As with previous chapters, repeatedly going in and out of this room has a chance to take you to the egg room. It transports you to a hidden room that resembles a hospital or office lobby.
At the end of the lobby there are three doors, with the middle one having a tree drawn on it. The the middle door opens into a dark room where you have to wander around and keep interacting with various dialogs appearing.
You need to position yourself near the center of the dark room, where you will get the dialogue: “Yes, there is a man here. He seems to be pointing at something and nodding.” Near this area towards the door you will get the prompts: “Well, there's a Canvas here,” followed by “Will you draw?”
If you select Yes to the above prompt, a series of dialogs will start that describe Kris's drawing, and finally end with the lines “An egg was picked up from a nearby easel,” after which you can find the fourth egg in your inventory.
Chapter 5 Egg Room Location in Deltarune
To find the egg in Chapter 5, you need to move forward until you reach the shop in the Cliffs area. In the next room, you'll come across a wheat field with a Torii gate that initiates a running sequence where you have to dodge projectiles fired by a flying enemy.
Once you make it through, keep going back and forth through the Torii Gate while destroying every single block of wheat in the field. After all are destroyed, a single wheat block will appear in the middle. Keep destroying this block repeatedly until a balloon appears and flies away.
Follow the balloon into the next room, where you'll find a puzzle with a dog tied to a balloon flying around the area. The dog will hover over flowers in a specific pattern, and you must interact with those flowers in the same order. Doing so will cause a watering can to appear in the middle of the room.
Pick up the watering can and water the path to the left to create a route to the next area. There you will find a tree in the middle of the room. Talk to the mysterious person behind the tree to receive the egg for this chapter.
This egg is unmissable if you try the weird route, as the game will end before you enter the dark world.
How to use eggs in Deltarune
Eggs in Delta rune are kind of enigmatic. They have no combat purpose, cannot be equipped or consumed, and some disappear at the start of the next chapter. Still, they work as collectibles and sometimes give rise to interesting interactions, such as those mentioned below.
In Chapter 1, placing the egg in Asgore's refrigerator results in Kris quietly storing it inside. When you check the fridge again, the description reads: “There are two eggs in the fridge.” If the egg is dropped instead, only one egg will appear inside.
In Chapter 2, the Egg can be placed in the egg basket in San's shop. When this happens, Susie jokes that Kris is “reverse-stealing” the egg. Afterwards, if you inspect the clock in the upper right place, the egg disappears from the inventory, but the pile will now show “more eggs than usual.”
In ch. 3 you can place your egg on a desk in Berdley's classroom. In other chapters, the egg remains in your inventory as a conversation piece. While fans are speculating to be part of a bigger secret in the final chapters of Delta runefrom now on, The true purpose of the egg is still unclear.
