How to access storage and exchange items in Deltarune

While you can play through entire chapters without having to use items in Delta rune if you're good enough in the enemy encounters, there's also a good chance that the odd boss battle could see you needing your entire party. Whether it's a Revive Mint or a TV Dinner, there are tons of items that will get your party back to full health and ready to take a few more hits. All items you collect will automatically end up in your “Hold”, where they can be used at any time. However, this will eventually fill up, and items will then be sent to inventory. But how do you access storage in Delta runeand how do you trade items between it and your hold? Here's what you need to know.

How to access storage in Deltarune

deltarune chapter 2 cyber city entrance save point

Your save space can only be accessed by interacting with the sparkling save points dotted throughout each chapter. I've included a screenshot of what these look like below.

When you interact with one of these save points, you have the option to save, return to the game, access your save, and see all the enemies you've recruited so far on your adventure. The 'Storage' option is at the bottom left of these options.

Select this and a screen will open showing your “hold” at the top and “storage” at the bottom. You can now select an item in either your hold or storage to move it to the other.

It's worth noting that if you want to take an item out of storage, you'll need to make sure you have space in your hold. Your space has 12 slots available for items, while your storage space has 36.

Can you increase the storage or hold size in Deltarune?

Unfortunately, no, you cannot increase your storage capacity or storage capacity by collecting items or progressing through the game. The number of slots will remain the same as you progress through the game, so you want to make sure you always have room in one of the two.

Finding healing items in chests throughout each chapter is an easy way to save money and ensure you always have healing and recovery items available when the going gets tough.

If you haven't used many items in the first couple of chapters, I recommend getting rid of any healing items you picked up early on to make sure you have room for the ones you pick up or buy in later chapters. You'll usually find these heal more HP, and since you have limited space, you'll want to make sure you can heal as much of your party's HP with as few items as possible. That said, 48 slots is quite a lot, so you might be ok.

That said, this is based on just the first four chapters of Delta rune. There's always a chance that Toby Fox might increase the storage space or storage space in future chapters, although nothing has been confirmed at the time of writing. However, in my opinion, I would say that it is highly unlikely that it will.
