Capcom fans should mark June 25 on their calendars

A new one Capcom Spotlight has just been announced. This 30-minute live stream will air on June 25 and will provide updates on a handful of already announced Capcom titles.

For over a year now, Capcom has been delivering its own digital presentations. These Capcom Spotlights usually last around 30–50 minutes and feature a variety of updates and announcements, usually for games that have already been revealed at previous industry shows. The latest Capcom Spotlight aired in March and gave fans a Onimusha: Path of the Sword overview trailer, a gameplay trailer and change date for Pragmaticsand a tease of Capcom's Resident Evil 30th anniversary celebration, including announcements and updates.

Seven-year-old Capcom game just had its best sales year ever

Capcom just updated sales figures for its biggest franchises, and a seven-year-old game just had its best year ever for sales.

The next Capcom Spotlight will officially air on June 25 at 2:00 PM PT / 5:00 PM ET. In their brief Twitter announcement, Capcom confirmed that this upcoming Spotlight presentation will last approximately 30 minutes, and will include both updates on Capcom titles that have already been released and updates on upcoming Capcom games. There are three games in particular that will take center stage in the next Capcom Spotlight Monster Hunter Stories 3, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arisesand Onimusha: Path of the Sword. It's possible that other Capcom titles could appear during the presentation, but none have been officially confirmed yet.

Released in March, Monster Hunter Stories 3 overall very well, with the JRPG earning a Top Critic Average of 85 on OpenCritic. If Monster Hunter Stories 3 is one of the featured games in this upcoming Capcom Spotlight, then it is very likely that it will receive some form of DLC in the near future.

Announced during the recent Nintendo Direct, Dragon's Dogma 2: Dark Arises will be released on October 9, 2026. Much like its predecessor, the “Dark Arisen” version of Dragon's Dogma 2 will bring a number of improvements to the 2024 action RPG, along with a major story expansion. There's still a lot about this upcoming expansion that fans don't know, so it's a safe bet to assume they'll get some concrete information during this week's Capcom Spotlight presentation.

Onimusha: Path of the Sword is Capcom's next big AAA release, and there's a rumor floating around that its release date could be moved up. Currently, Onimusha: Path of the Sword has a September 25th release date, but some fans recently noticed that Canadian retailer PNP listed the game's release date as September 4th. While the PNP has since reset the listing to the official September 25 date, some fans believe it was a sign that an official launch date will soon change. This week's Capcom Spotlight could be the perfect place for that potential announcement.
