Re: Zero Season 4, Episode 12 marks the beginning of the Recapture Arc, with just eight episodes left, the story is expected to move at a faster pace. After all, Subaru has yet to overcome the trials of the Pleiades Watchtower, not to mention unraveling the mystery surrounding the dead books and the archive in general.
On top of that, Subaru must continue his journey without his memories, choosing to rely only on Emilia and his trusted friends to move forward. While Return By Death is still an instrumental ability, it still comes at the cost of massive mental strain.
