MAPPA Officially Reveals Chainsaw Man Season 2 in Amazing New Trailer

The Chainsaw man the manga may be over, but the anime has really only just begun. Following the release of the critically acclaimed and record-breaking Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc last year the popularity of the series is at a record level. Chainsaw man Season 2 will pick up where the Reze Arc left off, adapting one of the manga's best stories: the International Assassins Arc. The trailer also serves as a soft confirmation that the International Assassins Arc will indeed be an anime series, not a movie.

MAPPA's latest trailer for Chainsaw man Season 2 proves that the studio is ready to do the manga serious justice, offering anime-only fans a first glimpse of Quanxi, Yoshida, and Santa Claus—three of the best characters from Chainsaw man manga. With similar art direction and animation to the film, Chainsaw man Season 2 is definitely going to be an incredible follow-up to the first season and the movie. Especially if MAPPA commits to adapting all of Part 1 this season.

The International Assassins Arc is a major turning point for Chainsaw man where the series begins to move in a more terrifying direction. Based on the trailer, MAPPA is ready to adapt the rest of Part 1 with the series' violence, horror and unnecessary content as intact as possible. The new trailer gives fans their first look at Quanxi, The First Devil Hunter and one of the most powerful characters in the series. Manga readers will also catch glimpses of Yoshida, who continues to play a major role in Chainsaw man Part 2.

Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc fans will not want to miss this new merch collection, which will appear in upcoming pop-up shops.

Also at the center of the trailer is Santa Claus, a new villain who will dominate most of the story. Along with iconic scenes fans have been waiting to see animated (like Power destroying Kobeni's car), MAPPA's new trailer for Chainsaw man Season 2 ends with a teaser for Darkness Devil – the series' first Primal Fear ace Chainsaw man makes his descent into hell. For now, MAPPA has only announced that Season 2 will adapt the International Assassins Arc, but considering how many chapters are left in Part 1 of the manga, the season should have enough room to adapt the Gun Devil Arc and Part 1's final battle.
