After reaching Castle of the Mist and starts the DLC, players will be able to explore the many new areas that the free expansion has to offer. While exploring you will come across some rooms covered in a Purple Mist where blue needles are constantly flying at you. If five needles gather around your character, they will deal damage and revive you some distance away, similar to how spike traps work.
While these hazards are usually manageable, they can sometimes make entire rooms inaccessible or prevent progress. Thankfully, there is an easy way to remove the fog permanently Blasphemed 2.

Blasphemous 2: All Boss Fights, Ranked
Blasphemous 2 features a host of gruesome boss fights worthy of Cvstodia's dark environment. Here are the best boss fights in the game.
How to clear the purple mist in Blasphemous 2
The first step towards removing Purple Mist is to get the new DLC weapon, Embrujo. This weapon can be found west of Prie Dieu i The geometry of knowledge. Once you've acquired it, you'll be able to use R1/RB on your controller near specific hooks, allowing you to get through many of the areas introduced in the DLC.
With the Embrujo in your possession, make your way to Prie Dieu which is roughly in the middle of Stone fairies.
From here you follow the route below:
-
From the shrine, go right, climb down the ladder and enter the room on the right.
-
Drop down and enter the room on the left. Ignore the winged creatures descending from the ceiling and continue down the ladder.
-
You will see a mini-boss version of the first DLC boss in this area. Fortunately, you can completely ignore the encounter and move on.
-
In the middle of the room is another ladder that leads down to an area covered in Purple Mist. Pull through the gap to the left and climb down the second ladder.
-
Drop down on the left side, go down the next ladder, then quickly dash left and use your grapple ability twice with R1/RB.
-
Enter the room on the left. Inside you will find many chests along with a figure resting inside an open chest.
-
Attack the figure to trigger a dialogue sequence.
After the conversation ends, Purple Mist throughout the DLC will disappear permanently, leaving you free to access previously blocked rooms and continue exploring the rest of The Third Sin expansion without worrying about the blue needle mechanic.
