A new one Fallout 76 the event is officially live and offers players a chance to claim various in-game rewards until June 15th. The newly introduced campaign is part of a wider initiative aimed at highlighting some new content additions Fallout 76.
The long-running live RPG service launched its 25th season, Appalachia Under Siege, on June 2. The headline addition in the latest Fallout 76 update is the Infestations system, which introduces a new type of recurring activity that randomly leaves certain locations overrun by individual enemy factions. Bethesda has framed Infestations as more than a content addition, presenting them as a potential plan for catering to groups while keeping both solo and team-based exploration as fresh as possible, even for players who have already spent thousands of hours exploring every nook and cranny of post-apocalyptic Appalachia.
Focusing on turning familiar parts of Appalachia into repeatable flashpoints is also the central premise of PROTECT Protocol, a new in-game event Bethesda launched on June 7. The event is accompanied by a small campaign that gives away various digital items in exchange for player engagement. New rewards will be available every day through June 15 and can be claimed via Fallout 76 Atomic Shop. The first items available are Abraxo Paint for the T-51 Power Armor and Clean Mr. Fuzzy Headwear.
