Steam users have until May 25th to claim another freebie

While Steam's Free-to-Keep campaign usually offers paid premium games for free for a limited time, the latest offer is actually a freebie for an otherwise cheap PC game. Until May 25th, Steam users can claim the original soundtrack for AquaDream completely free and if they are fans, they can also download the game at a discounted price until then.

That's not to say there aren't any free game deals on Steam right now. Until May 30, Steam users can claim the endless driving game Dino running from a Furrywhich is what it is. Lenovo is also hosting a Steam Key giveaway for A lot of rain on May 27, although for a much shorter time. Either way, there are free game deals right now, and music fans can find a new favorite game through its soundtrack because of the Free-to-Keep promotion.

Brand new PS5 update adds feature Steam users have enjoyed for years

Sony seems to be rolling out an update for the PS5 that includes a new feature that Steam users have been using for a long time.

AquaDream Soundtrack, composed by Joshua Liljeblad, contains all five songs from the title game: Deep Ocean, River Reef Shark, The Hidden Temple, Sunny Shores and The Choral Reef. In addition to that, there is another reverb version of each song. Usually it's only $1, but this soundtrack can be downloaded absolutely free until May 25th at 12 noon CT on Steam, then the campaign ends.

The game is not required to enjoy the soundtrack, but it is treated as additional content for AquaDream (because it is) the same. If someone likes the soundtrack, then AquaDream is available at 77% off until May 25th sometime. It's already a cheap PC game, but this is a chance to get it for next to nothing. In it, players explore the dark marine abyss as a mermaid and solve puzzles in an otherwise atmosphere-focused experience.

As players explore the abyss, they find hidden keys, open new passages via underwater towers, and follow ocean currents through deadly traps. There is also a collect-a-thon element where players are encouraged to find a variety of shells. Overall, it's a fairly simple puzzle game, but it's all about the atmosphere, and in that regard, it's a solid experience. It's usually $5, but with the aforementioned discount, it's just over a dollar. If the soundtrack captures the fans, it's an easy conversion from soundtrack to game.

Overall, it's not the biggest free PC game being given away on Steam, but it's not the worst either. Free is free and a vibe is a vibe, so hopefully this OST and game will attract some players.
