Likely due to its position in the calendar year, June 1st has been designated as a massive delisting and closure date for 10 games over PlayStation and PC, including one that has been around for a decade. In some cases, this means that games are completely unplayable anymore, which no one should want – even if that particular game isn't your cup of tea. In other cases, the game will still be playable without any kind of online support, but shutdowns like this (which happens with LEGO 2K Drive) are increasingly rare.
It's worth noting that the Stop Killing Games Movement was founded for exactly this reason, as game preservation should be a key component of game development and the industry. It's not a simple problem, but challenges are as real in life as they are in video games. On the one hand, it makes sense that servers can't support games forever because of the price and maintenance required to maintain them; on the other hand, anyone who wants to start up Anthem and fly around should be able to—but they can't. It's complicated, as are each of the shutdowns below, but PlayStation and PC fans should pay attention to the dwindling time.

Rec Room is shutting down forever
Turns off on all major platforms
The last two months, Rec Room has essentially been exclusive to existing owners of the free-to-play VR and screen-based title. It has been active for the past decade, bringing in over 150 million players, 68,000 years of playtime, and the largest user-generated content rooms saw over 500 years of playtime. Unfortunately, as developer Against Gravity revealed nearly two months ago, the costs to maintain Rec Room will always have exceeded the money it brought in. As such, Rec Room will be shut down on all platforms starting June 1st: PlayStation, PC, Xbox, Switch and mobile devices.

Zen Studios' pinball game is undergoing some complicated changes
Effective end of service on PlayStation Store
While Rec Room is a complete shutdown, Pinball FX3, Pinball FXand Flipper M are somewhat complicated changes for PlayStation users that ultimately have a similar effect. Pinball FX3 will be hidden from the PlayStation Store sometime in May, although it hasn't been done yet at the time of writing, effectively giving it a June 1 shutdown date. To be clear, anyone who owns it can still play and buy extra content for it, but new players won't be able to download or play the game. Similar, Pinball FX and Flipper M will no longer receive support or updates on June 1st for PS4 or Xbox One.
Horizon Chase Turbo will no longer be available for purchase on June 1st
Turns off on all major platforms
Shortly after Epic Games announced that they would be laying off 1,000+ employees, it was announced that three Fortnite game modes and Horizon hunting series from Aquiris Games was being shut down. Not valid on June 1, either Horizon hunting nor Horizon Chase Turbo (effectively the same game) will be available for purchase on June 1st. HCT remains available on all major platforms, including the PlayStation Store and Steam, until then, but anyone looking to preserve as much of it as possible should be sure to consider all downloadable content as well.
Tinymoon takes Clouzy and Tracks of the Arcana offline
Steam: Two PC games shut down on June 1st
What began as a university project for the new development studio Tinymoon is coming to an end on June 1st. The small development team developed and published Cloudy and Traces of Arcanaboth of which will leave the PC storefront Steam on June 1st. The former is essentially a kindergarten sim where players take care of clouds, while the latter is a tarot-inspired adventure game where players travel the stars in a train. After June 1, Cloudy will be available for free on itch.io for anyone who wants to play it, but otherwise it's and Traces of Arcana is completely offline. Cloudy is also on EGS, but with the itch.io decision it will likely be removed there soon as well.

Mighty wars
Steam: Shutting Down Forever on June 1st
Developer Gisp's Mighty wars is a free-to-play turn-based strategy game that was once available for mobile before it was taken down, and unfortunately its fate on Steam is much the same. Already, the game's Steam page has been taken down, and online services (if any) will be shut down on June 1st. Gisp admitted that it could be somewhat earlier as there were only a few users playing the game when the first announcement was made, but regardless, once these online services are shut down, it's curtains for good.
Star conflict
Steam: Going into suspension procedures on June 1st
Star Gem and Gaijin Network are shutting down their 13-year-old MMO space sim, Star conflictafter accepting no new players on May 14. As MMO fans may sadly know, these shutdowns are usually protracted processes due to their monetization and time commitment for existing players. At least, Star conflict has given fans plenty of heads up since the initial announcement in April. June 1st represents the end of monetization, the end of new content, and the end of “reasons” to play the game. Star conflict has promised to keep servers up for all existing players until October 10th, but June 1st is the beginning of the end. At least those who spent so much time with Star conflict over the years have a last summer with the game.
