Fishing is one of the most enjoyable activities in Neverness to Everness. Here's everything you need to know about this hobby.

How to start in Reflection Quest

In The Reflection Quest in NTE

You can trigger the quest in the Bridge Crossings near the fountain area at Hankaku Street. Two NPCs, called Excited Girl and Exasperated Girl, discuss rumors of a magical mirror that will show the future. Listen to their conversation to officially begin the side quest.

This mission only becomes available after completing Prologue II and unlocking the scooter. If the NPCs don't show up, continue with the main story until Good Business, Better Treasure is done and rest in the dorm.

Here are all the objectives in this mission:

  • Vintage shop mirror

  • Not a mirror

  • Could it be a collector's item?

  • Owner of the Washstand

The first objective starts near the fountain area on Hankaku Street in Bridge Crossings. Two girls discuss rumors about a magic mirror that will reveal the future. Listen to their conversation to officially start the side quest.

One girl fully believes that the mirror anomaly is real, while the other believes that it may be connected to some kind of parallel world phenomenon. This brief interaction creates the mystery behind the entire mission.

After hearing the conversation, your next destination will be Good Joe's Vintage Shop. Go there and talk to Good Joe inside the building. He claims to own the famous mirror that everyone has been talking about, but the conversation quickly begins to sound suspicious.

The shop owner seems more interested in making money off curious customers than proving the mirror is genuine.

Not a mirror

When you leave the Vintage Shop, another conversation will automatically be triggered nearby. Two students standing outside continue to discuss the so-called “miraculous mirror”, but they reveal something interesting. According to them, the object everyone is looking for may not be a mirror at all.

The target updates and sends you towards Golden Apple Collection Hall in the New Herland District. The museum is about 1.3 kilometers northeast of the store, so using the scooter or fast travel will help make the trip much faster.

Inside the hall, look for Dolores, the museum guide. Talk to her and ask about the mysterious “Miraculous Container” when the dialogue option appears. Dolores explains that the museum currently has nothing matching the rumors on display, but she remembers hearing about a strange wash basin connected to a similar anomaly.

After speaking with Dolores, the investigation continues towards the Miguel District. The next clue points you to a grocery store owner named Kookie, who supposedly owns the mysterious washroom.

Travel west from the Golden Apple Collection Hall until you reach the Strange Eats grocery store. Enter the store and talk to Kookie behind the counter.

At first, Kookie assumes you're there as a regular customer. Keep asking about the rumors until she finally acknowledges the pool and reluctantly lets you investigate it. She warns you not to spread the word about it when you're done.

The pool itself is inside the store near the corner to the right of the counter. Interact with it to begin the next part of the mission.

You must fill the pool with water before the real interaction becomes available.

After filling the sink with water, interact with it one more time to trigger the reflection scene. Instead of showing your current character normally, the water reveals an alternate version of Esper Zero with the opposite gender. This confirms that the rumors surrounding the anomaly were partially true after all.

After the cutscene ends, talk to Kookie again to finish the In The Reflection quest completely.

In Reflection Quest Rewards

The biggest reward from In the Reflection is the Switch Appraiser feature in the settings menu under the “Miscellaneous” tab.

Once unlocked, you can change the main character's gender at any time directly from the settings menu. Unlike many cosmetic systems in other games, there are no additional costs associated with this feature. You can switch freely after every 24 hours in the game.

The mission also rewards 50 Bridge Crossings Footprint Points, which help boost regional progress in the area.
