A story by Gege Akutami, Jujutsu Kaisen became a global sensation immediately after its debut, but its manga ended in 2024 after the events of the Shinjuku Showdown arc. Shortly thereafter, Gege Akutami, with the help of Yuji Iwasaki, returned in 2025 with a brand new sequel known as Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. This short sequel ran for six months in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and reached its conclusion recently.
Even so, more Jujutsu Kaisen content may be coming soon, with a big announcement coming on April 27, 2026. After the end of the manga and now also the anime season, Jujutsu Kaisen fans eager for more content would want to tune in for the big event coming up next.

Shueisha's Shonen Jump is the largest magazine for shonen manga in the entire world. Both Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo were serialized in it, and now that JJK Modulo has ended its run on March 6, 2026, fans have been waiting for new information about the franchise. No major information came to the fans – until now.
Jujutsu Kaisen fans eagerly awaiting new information from the franchise will want to turn their eyes to April 27, 2026, for which a major event is planned, called Jump Press. This event has hinted at big reveals for quite a few series, and among them is Jujutsu Kaisen. This tip came through a shop window, which featured symbols from various Shonen Jump hits. For JJK Modulo, Yuta's ring was specifically shown, which has a huge significance to the Modulo story through his grandchildren, Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, standing out.

Right now, this upcoming reveal is highly anticipated, but it remains to be seen what will be revealed next. Fans of the series don't know what to expect, but most likely, this April 27 reveal will apply to the final volume of Modulowhich is volume 3. A teaser for JJK Modulo volume 3 could be revealed, as well as its cover. Then Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo Volume 3 is scheduled for release on May 1st, that would be the perfect time to start promoting the manga. More than that, it's possible that the release could also include a bonus chapter, just like the original Jujutsu Kaisen manga did with its latest volume. This bonus chapter can give fans great information about the fates of the main characters Yuka, Tsurugi, Maru, Cross and Dabura. This is exciting news for fans of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo looking to purchase the final volume. However, this release is only for Japan at the moment, and the English release will have to wait longer.
For Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, sales over the past few months have been quite impressive, and the quality of the series is very well reflected in them. Both its first and second volumes were among the best sellers in Japan. Recently, this series ranked second just behind One Piece Volume 114 with its second Volume, with over 390,000 sales, which is definitely impressive.
In their first week, Jujutsu Kaisen Kaisen: Modulo Volume 1 has accumulated over 190,000 volumes in circulation, and the second volume amassed even higher numbers, breaking the 200,000 barrier. Fans are definitely curious to see how Volume 3 will fare without a weekly release.

With all that said, fans want more projects than just an expected volume release. When it comes to animated content, there is nothing to expect Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. In order for JJK Modulo to even be animated, the original anime needs to end first, which probably won't happen anytime soon. It may take, at the earliest, until 2029 for the original JJK manga to be fully adapted. Only then could fans expect a Modulo adaptation to begin.
However, fans can look forward to Jujutsu Kaisen Season 4, which will air next year in 2027. Its release date has not been revealed yet, but all eyes are set on an early winter release. There is also the possibility that Gege Akutami will return for another manga project, which has been hinted at by his own comments and that of his editor. Either way, fans of Jujutsu Kaisen are extremely excited about the future of the franchise, be it with new anime content or new manga content from Gege.
