Before you get a Mega Evolution Pokemon Legends: ZAFroslass was basically useless in competition Pokémon battles that are far outclassed by better Ghost and Ice types. However, after gaining a Mega Evolution, Froslass suddenly gained the potential to become a competitive powerhouse with his increased stats while Mega-Evolved. The vitality of the Mega Froslass largely depended on what ability it gained when Pokemon champion launched, and now that the game is out, Mega Froslass Snow Warning has elevated the critter to the top of the meta.

With Snow active, Ice-Type Pokémon get a 50% increase in defense, and Blizzard, which usually has a 70% chance to hit, gets 100% accuracy. Having Snow activated right after Mega-Evolving not only gives Mega Froslass better bulk, but also guarantees that its strongest STAB moves will hit opponents.

Aurora Veil

Snowstorm

Shadow ball

Ice cold wind
Since Mega Froslass thrives by taking advantage of the snow in the game, having Blizzard as its primary Ice-Type STAB move is a must. While it doesn't benefit from Snow, Shadow Ball is the perfect Ghost-Type STAB move for Mega Froslass. Another crucial move to use with Snow active is Aurora Veil, which reduces incoming damage by 50% in single battles and 33% for both active Pokemon in dual battles, but it can only be used while Snow is active. Icy Wind is another solid option on Mega Froslass for its secondary effect of reducing the opponent's Pokemon's speed, giving Mega Froslass's already high speed stat that advantage over other fast creatures.

The best partners for Mega Froslass in Pokemon Champions
-
Archaludon
-
Kingambit
-
Hisuian Arcanine
-
Incinerate
While Mega Froslass is perfectly usable in Pokemon champion' single-battle format, it really thrives in the double-battle format used for official Pokémon VGC Competitions. When using Mega Froslass in dual battles, there are a few potential partners that make perfect companions, taking advantage of Mega Froslass's strengths or compensating for its weaknesses. A powerful Steel-Type like Archaludon or Kingambit is a great choice to pair with Mega Froslass, as they can benefit from the use of Aurora Veil to reduce incoming damage and make up for their deficiencies in Special Defense.
Other good options for Mega Froslass's partners are strong Fire-Type Pokémon like Hisuian Arcanine or Incineroar. Both of these mons can resist opposing Fire-Types like Mega Charizard Y while offering protection for Mega Froslass. For example, Hisuian Arcanine's STAB Rock-Type moves can easily dispatch Mega Charizard Y, and Incineroar's access to Dark-Type STAB moves can deal with those pesky Ghost-Type beasts that can threaten Mega Froslass with super effective damage.
