Fans hungry for the first reveal of Persona 6 might be in luck, as a rumor suggests the reveal could take place on June 7. Although Atlus has kept a tight lid on it Persona 6 and its ongoing development, an upcoming showcase could be the company's first opportunity to potentially give audiences a glimpse into the future of Persona series.
Originally released as a spin-off to Atlus' popular Megami Tensei franchise, the first Persona the title was released in 1996 on PlayStation as Revelations: Persona. According to gaming industry insider eXtas1s on Twitter, the disclosure of Persona 6 could happen this year, with the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase on June 7 as a possible venue for Sega to showcase its next entry in Persona series. Pointing out that Atlus and Microsoft have a multi-year partnership, the insider said that Atlus has used the Xbox Games Showcase in previous years as a platform to announce some of its game projects. Persona 4 Revival was the latest example, as it was officially revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. However, eXtas1s later clarified that they were not the original source of Persona 6 debunking the date rumors, saying they were simply relaying the information based on other reports from various sources.
Given reports that Persona 4 Revival's release date is rumored to be too early next year and the fact that no other reveals or announcements have been made or planned for April 2026, it's possible that the June Xbox showcase will focus mainly on P4R instead. If so, it's less likely that Persona 6 will be revealed then and there.

As for what fans can expect during the 2026 Xbox Games Showcase, Microsoft's first-party titles such as Fable and Halo: Campaign Evolved are likely to make appearances during the broadcast. Along with the main show, the Xbox Games Showcase will be immediately followed by a Gears of War: E-Day Live broadcast hosted by The Coalition. The Xbox Games Showcase 2026 airs on Sunday, June 7 at 1:00 PM Eastern on the official Xbox Twitch and YouTube channels. The Xbox show airs a few days after Summer Game Fest 2026, which airs Friday, June 5 at 5:00 PM Eastern from the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Twitch and YouTube. Details on both the Xbox Games Showcase and Summer Game Fest will likely be revealed closer to the listed air dates.
Persona 6 has other reveal windows to consider
Despite the lack of concrete Persona 6 news, Persona fans still have a confirmed release to look forward to in the future, which Persona 4 Revival remains in active development.
