The Sky's the Limit for a Pokemon Pokopia Sequel

While Pokemon Pokopia builds largely on Omega Force's previous work in the area Dragon Quest Builder franchise, its unique mechanics set the game apart and leave the door wide open for expansion in the future. As with Dragon Quest Builders game, Omega Force successfully repeated the original with the sequel, and there is a clear direction for the developer to do it again with Pokopia. Despite the large amount of content already in the game, there is still so much more to the Pokemon world that a Pokopia the sequel may enter the spin-off as a new series is developed.

Pokemon Pokopia players rebuilt Kanto, but there are still 8 other regions to tackle

As players progress through the main story missions Pokemon Pokopiait becomes increasingly clear that they are exploring the ruins of the Kanto region. Each of the PokopiaThe main areas feature iconic landmarks from the Kanto region, such as the SS Anne in Bleak Beach, the Pewter City Museum in Rocky Ridge, and the Silph Co. Building in Sparkling Skylands. These buildings make it obvious that players are exploring and rebuilding Kanto cities like Vermillion City, Pewter City, and Saffron City, and the fact that Palette Town is named as such only confirms that this is the Kanto region.

The best regions for a Pokemon Pokopia 2 to explore

Of all eight remaining regions that can be displayed in one Pokemon Pokopia the sequel, the regions from Gen 2, 3 and 4 would make the most sense. The previous generations of Pokémon holds a similar level of nostalgia among fans as Kanto, and a Pokopia sequels would be the perfect way to revisit these regions without redoing their original games again. With Kalos recently given a spotlight Pokemon Legends: ZAand Galar was leaked to be the setting for the next one Pokemon Legends games, it would make a lot of sense for the future Pokopia sequels to take players back to the previous gen regions.

A Johto based one Pokopia the sequel makes the most sense after Kanto, as it would follow the original generational order of regions. In addition, the Johto region has some iconic locations, such as the Burned Tower and Bell Tower of Ecruteak City, or the Olivine City Lighthouse. Also, Johto has the perfect area to include as an icy biome in the Ice Path connecting Route 44 and Blackthorn City.

The Hoenn region may not be next Pokémon region chronologically after Kanto, but it has a diversity of biomes that could be perfect for Pokopias gameplay. Between the desert of Route 111, the ash-covered routes around Fallarbor Town, and the isolated island of Sootopolis City, a Hoenn-based Pokopia the sequel can offer players a completely different experience than the original game.

A Pokopia the sequel set in the Sinnoh region would make an interesting companion to a game that Pokemon Legends: Arceus. Going from a version of the region in the distant past to one in a post-apocalyptic future can show how the region has evolved over time, including the rise and fall of landmarks like the Canalave City Library or the Solaceon Town Ruins.

Pokemon Pokopia is still missing around 700 creatures from its Pokedex

The second area a Pokemon Pokopia the sequel has plenty of room to expand in its Pokedex of creatures players can find. Currently, Pokopia has around 300 Pokémon in its Pokedex, representing only a fraction of the over 1,000 total creatures in the franchise. While it makes sense to keep the number lower for a spin-off game, the success of the Pokopia shows that a sequel can get even bigger with the number of animals players can recruit to their cities.

Although there are still roughly 700 Pokemon missing Pokopias Pokedex, some notable exceptions deserve to appear in a sequel. To begin with, Pokopia doesn't include every starter in the franchise, and while the original Gen 1 starters are present, some more popular later-gen starters like Turtwig and Litten are missing. These can be simple additions to one Pokemon Pokopia 2and Turtwig's addition would especially complement a Sinnoh Region setting.

There are also a couple of Pseudo-Legendary Pokemon missing Pokopias current Pokedex. Gen 3 has two Pseudo legendaries, but only Metagross can be obtained in Pokopiawhile Salamence remains. Gen 5's Pseudo-Legendary Hydreigon is also missing, which should be addressed in a future sequel. In addition to these, Pseudos lacked, Pokopias legendary Pokemon list is quite limited despite the series' hefty legendary lineup. The Gen 5 trio of Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus would make perfect additions Pokopiabecause they represent the forces of nature, which is an important aspect of Pokopias post-apocalyptic version of Pokémon world. Enamorus, the fourth member of the trio was introduced Legends: Arceusmay also appear in one more sequel Pokopiaas it represents the arrival of spring, a time when the land is renewed and new life emerges, which thematically fits in with Pokemon Pokopia.
