The Straw Hat Pirates have grown tremendously in the last saga of the story, and Elbaf has pushed their overall power to the next level. In this ongoing arc, quite a few of the Straw Hat Pirates have already gained new powers. As such, the entire Yonko crew has now been upgraded to the next level, with more power-ups to come as the significant battles in the Warland continue to expand, and with the recent arrival of Imu. Based on the latest developments in One Pieceit is clear that the growth of the Straw Hat Pirates will continue to make them stronger before the great war of the final saga finally begins.

Assessment of the new emperor group's combat strength
When the Straw Hat Pirates became a Yonko team, they certainly weren't the strongest in the series. In fact, many would argue that the Straw Hats weren't even worthy of being called a Yonko team because, aside from Luffy, all the other minions weren't top notch. Zoro and Sanji certainly went on to defeat the likes of King and Queen, but under different circumstances, they could very well have perished in this battle. More than that, all the other minions of Luffy really weren't strong enough to compete with the likes of Blackbeard and the Red Hair Pirates. Considering their rather smaller numbers, they really lacked the firepower to really be considered a Yonko crew.
Still, the Straw Hats aren't the weakest Yonko team in the world One Piece the world right now, and that's thanks to the tremendous growth they've shown in the Elbaf arc. The latest power-ups have really elevated them further now and made them a true Yonko team.
How Eiichiro Oda gave new abilities to the crew in the Land of Giants
In the Land of Giants, Oda did incredibly well to expand the power of the vast majority of the Straw Hat Pirates, pushing them to a whole new level. With Luffy, Oda made sure he understood how to properly use his Conqueror's Haki, and his innovative nature saw him develop several new techniques, as well as improve the control of his Devil Fruit abilities.
Zoro was told to improve his Conqueror's Haki, and it is something he is still doing. Sanji went on to reach a level so high that he picked apart Saint Killingham effortlessly in battle, even going so far as to say that Killingham was just a small fry. Franky gained the power of Super Vega Cola, which pushes his overall abilities to a new level, and Chopper seems to have awakened his Devil Fruit power to the point where he can affect others around him with it.
Meanwhile, Nico Robin fought Saint Sommers and was actually able to overpower him, with his immortality being the only thing that saved him in battle, and Jinbe showed why he was as reliable as ever. Much to the surprise of all fans, Brook was able to take a couple of attacks from Imu, leaving only Usopp and Nami behind, both of whom will grow as the arc continues.

Why more powers are on the way for Straw Hats
As is quite clear, Oda has managed to upgrade most of the members of the Straw Hat Pirates in one way or another in the Elbaf arc, making them a true Yonko team. Usopp needs his own power-up in this arc, and it will come in good time. Meanwhile, Nami has developed her use of Zeus and unleashed some very cruel techniques, but it is clear that this is not enough for her.
Oda is sure to give her something massive in the coming chapters, and with that, every single member of the crew will have upgraded power-wise in one way or another in the Elbaf arc.

After the events of Elbaf, it can now be stated that Luffy's Straw Hat Pirates are superior to Kaido's Beast Pirates in terms of total power. On top of that, they may have even become strong enough to go head-to-head with the likes of the Red Hair Pirates and the Blackbeard Pirates for the title of the strongest Yonko team.
The final war is about to begin in One Piece, and it will push the Straw Hats to the next level. It must also be remembered that the Straw Hat Pirates haven't reached their peak yet, and newer forces are sure to follow when the Great War finally begins.
