Frieza is one of the most powerful characters in the Dragon Balland he's only gotten stronger since he first came back Dragon Ball Super. From then on Dragon Ball Super Manga Granolah the Survivor Saga, Frieza is once again the strongest mortal around and the Z-Fighters currently have no one on the team powerful enough to defeat Black Frieza, let alone fight him.
Dragon Ball: 10 Strongest Lower Class Saiyans, Ranked
Lower class Saiyans in DBZ are destined for a life of non-stop combat, but the strongest can go on to surpass Elite Saiyans with enough training.
That said, Frieza has lost against great odds before, and he will surely go down once and for all at the end of the Black Frieza Saga. Frieza is undoubtedly powerful, but he had a bad track record when he lost to the Saiyans. Between Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball SuperFrieza's overwhelming power level has not been able to save him from defeat at the hands of the series' strongest Super Saiyans.

Super Saiyan Goku was the first person in history to defeat Frieza
Before the Namek Saga, Frieza never lost a fight in his life. He was always so strong, he never even had to train. Everything changed when he met Goku for the first time. Although Frieza spends most of his battle toying with Goku and only fighting at 50% of his maximum power, Goku unlocking the Super Saiyan changes the tide of battle in his favor.
Frieza spends the rest of the Namek Saga's final battle slowly losing to Goku, as the Super Saiyan beats him into submission and humiliates him. Even using his 100% Full Power form isn't enough for Frieza to close the gap between him and Goku. In the end, Goku easily defeats and nearly kills Frieza before Namek explodes.
Super Saiyan Future Trunks killed Mecha Frieza in literal seconds
Although Goku fought Frieza with killing intent on Namek, his final blast was not actually strong enough to completely destroy Frieza. Frieza is eventually found by his father King Cold among the wreckage of Namek and is slowly repaired into Mecha Frieza. Mecha Frieza makes it his mission to go to Earth, kill all of Goku's friends, and then defeat Goku once and for all.
Unfortunately for Frieza, Future Trunks travels back in time the day of his arrival and cuts Frieza to pieces in seconds, picking him apart before he can so much as land an attack. In Trunks' timeline, Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport to Mecha Frieza before he can fight any of the Z-Fighters, killing both him and King Cold in Trunks' place.
Goku VS Vegeta: The strongest saiyan in every Dragon Ball Super Saga
Despite Goku starting the series much stronger than Vegeta, it didn't take long for Vegeta to catch up to Goku in Dragon Ball Super and even surpass him.
Super Saiyan Blue Goku beat Frieza again in Resurrection F
Although Golden Frieza has a higher power level than Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta i Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection Fhe failed to actually practice the form. Instead, he rushed to Earth the moment he unlocked his golden transformation and quickly ran out of stamina as he battled Super Saiyan Blue Goku.
Super Saiyan Blue Goku very slowly gains the upper hand over Golden Frieza during their fight, tanking hit after hit and landing massively powerful blows on Frieza as his golden form drains him of his Ki, leaving him exhausted by the end of the fight. Super Saiyan Blue Goku successfully defeats Frieza, but is shot through the heart by Sorbet, meaning the fight can be considered a draw. That said, Goku still ends up killing Frieza himself moments later.
Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta technically beats Golden Frieza in Resurrection F
Although Frieza blows up the Earth, and Vegeta with it, near the end of Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection FSuper Saiyan Blue Vegeta still manages to beat Golden Frieza by himself. After Frieza wasted most of his energy in his fight with Super Saiyan Blue Goku, his golden form simply doesn't have enough juice or power to keep up with Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta.
Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta completely manipulated Golden Frieza, giving him an incredibly beneficial beatdown. Frieza is barely able to fight back as SSB Vegeta beats him into complete submission. The only reason Vegeta doesn't kill Frieza on the spot is because he takes a second too long to think about how to kill Frieza, giving him enough time to destroy the planet. Vegeta technically won the battle, but lost the war.
Dragon Ball: Every Time Vegeta Died (& Who Killed Him)
Vegeta has actually died as many times as Krillin has between Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Online.
Legendary Super Saiyan Broly obliterated Frieza for hours
When Goku and Vegeta realize that Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is growing too strong to keep up with him in their Super Saiyan Blue forms, Goku teleports them from the battlefield so they can practice the Fusion Dance and allow Gogeta to end the battle once and for all. Frieza is left to fend for himself as Broly absolutely destroys him for over an hour.
The fact that Frieza manages to survive fighting Broly for so long is actually an impressive feat in itself. Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is very stronger than Golden Frieza, and Goku and Vegeta were unable to fight him for more than a few minutes. That said, it's not really fair to call this a “fight”, as Broly just spends his entire body slamming into Frieza, who has no way to meaningfully fight back.
