A new update has been announced for Pokemon Home that will add compatibility with Pokemon Legends: ZA. The update will land on April 1st at 5:00 PM PT/8:00 PM ET, bringing Pokemon Home to version 4.0. The service will be undergoing maintenance at this time, so players may want to finish any transfers before then or expect a slight wait. Once the update is implemented, if a player's Switch doesn't automatically update, they can simply navigate to the app's icon and select the (+) or (-) button on their controller. If the version listed is not 4.0, players can simply click on Software Update, then Via Internet, and the update will be downloaded and installed. While fans have been waiting for this day, there are some caveats about how Pokemon Home will work with Pokemon Legends: ZA.

For starters, all Pokemon that have been transferred to Pokemon Home from Pokemon Legends: ZA cannot be transferred to older games in the series, even if they are available in them. Likewise, if a Pokemon is sent to Pokemon Home from an older game and then brought in Pokemon Legends: ZAit will no longer be able to transfer back to older games retroactively. Finally, only Pokémon that are available in Pokemon Legends: ZA can be transferred to the game. A full list of all compatible Pokemon will be provided upon the release of the update.

While there are some aspects of Pokemon Home and transferring Pokemon from game to game that players would like to see improved or changed, overall the service is largely appreciated by the fandom. Being able to transfer a Pokemon to Pokemon Home ensures that even if the original game's data is damaged or lost, all transferred Pokemon will be safe in the cloud. Considering how many Pokémon games that have existed, being able to seamlessly transfer Pokémon from game to game is a huge advantage. This service will also be extended to Pokemon champion.

While many Pokemon fans now focus on Pokemon champion and Gen 10 games Pokemon winds and wavesthe current title is not ready yet. Pokemon Legends: ZA will introduce Season 9 on the same day the Pokémon Home update launches. Players will be able to unlock a bunch of new goodies, including Mega Stones for Mega Evolving Pokemon, plus items like the Seed of Mastery, Nugget, Gold Battle Cap, and Big Nugget, depending on the player's rank.

Those who prefer a cozier experience may want to check out Pokemon Pokopiainstead. The Switch 2 game gives players a slice of life experience of playing with Pokémon in a post-human world. The game is similar Animal Crossingwith players tasked with rebuilding areas as they see fit and keeping the local Pokémon populations happy. Outside Pokemon Pokopia, Pokémon GO also undergoes regular updates, including its own set of changes coming on April 1st. This includes the addition of Mimikyu to Pokémon GOwhich players have been asking for for a very long time. Regardless of direction Pokémon fans step in, there should be a lot to enjoy in the month of April for Pokemon trainers everywhere.
