The One Piece anime is almost back after a good 3-month hiatus, and fans can't wait to see Luffy and the gang back on screen. Aside from the hiatus, the series' return is so hyped due to the anime finally starting to adapt the Elbaf Arc. It's been one of the best arcs in the series so far, and with a new production schedule and the promise of tighter pacing, more consistency, and higher quality animation, things are looking good for One Piece fans.
But the new season isn't here yet, and fans looking forward to it will have to find something else to help pass the time while they wait. These amazing comics are a perfect way to keep busy while you wait One Piece's return.
One Piece teases a new devil fruit awakening in the Elbaf arc
In Elbaf, a new Devil Fruit has awakened from a Straw Hat, and it could turn the tide of the war against Imu.
Gurren Lagann
You can always count on Studio Trigger to release visually stunning and interesting anime. Gurren Lagann is considered one of the studio's best series, and for good reason.
The iconic mecha series has some incredible action sequences, and there is a persistent optimism in the series that One Piece fans will love. It's only 27 episodes, and the pace is steady enough that you can get through it pretty easily. It's the perfect series to whet your appetite while you wait One Piece to come back.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is considered one of the great anime of the 21st century, and it's easy to see why. A more faithful adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's manga than its predecessor, Brotherhood is a classic that still holds its own against some of the biggest modern titles out there today.
With incredible world building and a strong lead and supporting cast, Brotherhood borne of the unrelenting will and bond shared by brothers Ed and Al as they set out to reclaim their bodies and atone for their past mistakes. The animation still holds up well, and should serve as both an engaging first watch or a good rewatch for fans already familiar with the series.
Mob Psycho 100
From the same creator of One Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100 often ends up in the shadow of its predecessor. While the two series share some similarities, Mob is its own thing that often shines OPM when it comes to certain elements.
Mob Psycho 100 can be a really silly series at times, but it also has great storytelling and a really well-developed main cast that's easy to root for and fun to watch grow out of its shell. The series looks good, yes, but the real draw to it is Mob's journey, which will comfortably take less than 40 episodes to get through.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Now that Season 3 is over, now is the perfect time to check it out Jujutsu Kaisen if you haven't already. Not only will you be caught up with the anime, but you can finish what was one of the biggest anime of Winter 2026 just in time to jump on what will be the most talked about series the spring season has to offer.
The biggest draw to Jujutsu Kaisen too many have been its amazing animation. The series looks great, and MAPPA's unique style and fluid animation is what makes it one of the best adaptations of the 2020s. That, in addition to one of the best modern anime power systems and a story that consistently delivers punchy, shocking moments, makes JJK a must watch while you wait for One Piece to pick up.
Magic: The Labyrinth
Magic: The Labyrinth is one of those series that doesn't always get the love that some of the really popular shonen titles regularly do, but it definitely deserves to be highlighted when talking about some of the best the genre has to offer.

Magic really shines when it comes to its main trio of Aladdin, Morgiana and Alibaba. Each character gets their time to shine and gets some great moments to grow and develop. If you love magic in anime and you're interested in exploring a setting that the medium often doesn't focus on Magic is definitely a series to check out.
The Suitor: Beyond Journey's End
The Suitor took the anime world by storm when its first season came out in 2023, and with season 2 going strong, the series has cemented itself as one of the best anime out there. With Season 1 still at 9.25 on MAL, The Suitor has been a huge hit with anime fans new and old.
Not only does the show look beautiful, with some amazingly animated action sequences and images popping off the screen, but it also has some great characters that carry an already strong story. It's a touching anime that can be both light-hearted and incredibly emotional when it needs to be.
One Punch Man
One Punch Man is one of the funniest anime you'll see that just happens to have some great (but sometimes incredibly short) fight scenes thrown in for good measure. Saitama is one of the best modern shonen protagonists, serving as an overpowered foil to many of the seemingly invincible villains the series parades, only to be anticlimactically KO'd by our bald, monotone hero.
Season 3 of the anime was panned by fans and went through its share of online controversies, but the series remains a fun watch. If you're looking for a fun anime with great to not-so-great action sprinkled throughout the run, One Punch Man is a solid choice. Just temper your expectations after season 1.
