Star Fox original developers are happy with Super Mario Galaxy News

In case you missed it, Fox is putting McCloud on a comeback tour, and it starts in about five days when the Super Mario Galaxy movie hits theaters. Because in a big piece of news, it was revealed that Fox McCloud, after some heavy speculation about an appearance, is indeed part of the cast of the upcoming sequel to the original movie The Super Mario Bros.

If that wasn't enough of an announcement, Nintendo and Illumination followed it up by revealing that Glen Powell, who has appeared in his fair share of movies involving fighter jets, would be the voice of Fox McCloud.

Nintendo Switch 2 Boost Mode

The Nintendo Switch 2's new boost mode finally makes it a console worth buying

Playing in portable mode on Nintendo Switch 2 has never been better thanks to the new Boost Mode.

It's a huge moment for a franchise that's been dormant for years, and it's not just fans who are dying to see a Fox McCloud poster for a big-screen movie. So is his original creator.

Argonaut Games, who helped create the original Star Fox for consoles, took to social media to see Fox in all her HD glory as part of a movie poster.

That hype coincided with a separate post from Dylan Cuthbert, the person largely credited with giving Fox his McCloud last name.

In other words, it's a full-on celebration.

Star Fox News isn't stopping there either

A Nintendo insider reported that Star Fox is also coming to a console near you before the end of the year. Specifically, the first Star Fox adventure in a decade will arrive in 2026.

“Star Fox is coming back in the summer of 2026. We will be getting a new Star Fox game in the very near future,” insider Natethehate said. “I've been told it's a classic Star Fox game, [and that] the visuals should be very good, and I hear it has online multiplayer.”

That might explain the revelation. If you're a fan of Fox, the last 48 hours or so have been nothing short of a whirlwind of energy.
