Of the 100 Poogies waiting to be found in Monster Hunter Stories 327 of them are in the Canalta Timberland region. While this number includes all areas in the main part of the Canalta Timberland, it does not include the two Poogies found in the narrow passage of Mt. Canalta.
Canalta Timberland is full of twists and turns, so it can be difficult to find all the Poogies scattered around the area. We'll show you where all 27 Canalta Timberland Poogies are so you can quickly find every Poogie in Monster Hunter Stories 3.

Canalta Timberland Poogie Map for Monster Hunter Stories 3
All Poogies in the Canalta Timberland region
Of the 27 Poogies found in Canalta Timberland, the majority of them are scattered around Mount Canalta. In contrast, the southern regions of Canalta Timberland have almost no Poogies to speak of.
Due to the large Poogie concentration, you'll want to constantly scan your surroundings as you explore the mountain. Also, you'll want to complete Thea's first side story to unlock the Poogie hint system. It is also recommended that you complete the story until you unlock Canyne, as it will be a super helpful Monstie to run around this area.
Mt. Canalta is the most dangerous part of Canalta Timberland, so make sure you are prepared to fend off mighty Monsties. This includes when you are flying, as the flying monsters patrolling the mountain will attack you in the air.
All Canalta Timberland Poogie locations
Poogie #1 — At the start of the river
If you go past Sheparden Village and go up to the beginning of the River Canalta Timberland, players will be led to this Poogie. It will be located on a small plot on the right side of the river.
Poogie #2 — At the waterfall near the Shepard
By following the river south of the Shepard to the village, players will encounter this Poogie next to a waterfall. It will be under the log bridges on the path to the village, making it easiest to find for players traveling north towards the village.
Poogie #3 — Near Howlinyowl Forest Entrance
This Poogie can be found sleeping or standing on the ledge in front of the Howlinyowl Forest entrance. It's almost directly north of Cataracts Crossroads Catavan Stand. Be sure to look for it carefully, as its yellow and green coloring helps it blend into the surrounding environment.
Poogie #4 — Behind the forest tree Howlinyowl
You'll find this Poogie resting on a small ledge next to the big tree in Howlinyowl Forest. There will be a Feral Monstie in this area, but it will mostly stick to the north side of the tree. Travel around the southern half of the tree to reach this Poogie safely.
Poogie #5 — West of Cataracts Lookout Point
Players can reach this Poogie by flying to Viewpoint: Cataract Catavan Stand and travel to the western border. It will be near the wall on the lowest part of this area.
Poogie #6 — Near the end of the river
Players will find this Poogie by following the western border of Canalta Timberland while traveling south. It will be on the edge of a ledge overlooking the river in the center of the region.
Poogie #7 — At the west end of the river
This Poogie is floating on a cliff towards the western end of this region's great river. The water leading up to this Poogie is quite shallow, so you can easily reach it when riding any Monstie.
Poogie #8 — On the Stump
You'll find this Poogie on top of one of the tree stumps north of Blessing Hill Camp set up after defeating the wild monster in the area. To reach the stump that hides this Poogie, players must jump over all the stumps before it.
This Poogie will not be visible to anyone looking at the stump. Instead, players will find an icon that says there is something to interact with on the stump. Interact with it to reveal the Poogie.
Poogie #9 — Above the waterfall
This Poogie is on the rocks above one of the large waterfalls in the center of Canalta Timberland. It can be easily reached by flying to it from Viewpoint: Cataract Tower.
Poogie #10 — Hidden in the Flowers
A hidden Poogie hides in a patch of red flowers next to this statue. Although you won't see it at first interaction icon giving away his position.
Poogie #11 — Resting on a ledge by the waterfall
This Poogie is found resting on a small ledge to the left of the waterfalls at the first camp in Canalta Timberland. All walls to the left of the ledge are climbable, making it easy for players to reach.
Poogie #12 — On a Tall Rock
As players explore the face of Mount Canalta, players will encounter plenty of climbable walls. Climbing the rocky pillar near the edge of Mount Canalta and the start of Howlinyowl Forest will lead players to this Poogie.
Poogie #13 — in front of the Twin Falls
Players will find this Poogie in front of a set of waterfalls. A tougher Monstie hangs below Poogie, but thankfully there are no dangerous Monsties directly guarding it.
Poogie #14 — Right of the Twin Falls
After picking up the previous Poogie, follow the waterfall down a platform and face the waterfalls. From here you'll want to look to the right to see a Poogie on a nearby ledge. The wall below Poogie is climbable, making it easy to rescue.
Poogie #15 — On the side of Mt. Canalta
This Poogie has been on a small rock ledge on the side of Mount Canalta. Players will easily spot it if they travel up the side of the mountain from the direction Dragonreach Mountains: Foothills Catamount.
Poogie #16 — Overlooking the tree
By climbing up the rocks around the waterfalls on the front of Mount Canalta, you will be able to reach a ledge on the left side of the mount facing the largest tree in the area. This ledge is next to another small waterfall and is home to a Poogie.
Poogie #17 — Inside an ore rock on the side of Mount Canalta
Although this Poogie is on the side of the mountain, like many other Canalta Timberland Poogies, it is harder to find because it is hidden inside a breakable rock. Players must find this rock and smash it to reveal the Poogie inside.
Poogie #18 — On a rock with tree roots
Continuing to climb up Mount Canalta will lead players to a climbable wall leading up to a tall fruit tree. Instead of going up this wall, turn around to face the rest of the Canalta Timberland region. When you look this way, you'll see a Poogie on a small rock with a tree root attached to it.
Jumping directly onto this rock is difficult. Instead, players should use Ratha or another flying Monstie to glide over to it.
Poogie #19 — On top of Mt. Canalta
Players who climb to the top of Mt. Canalta will be rewarded with a hidden Poogie. All you have to do is walk around until interaction icon appears, then tap it to reveal the Poogie.
Poogie #20 — At the narrow passage catacomb: opening
Fast travel to Narrow passage: Catavan stand that can be opened and moving forward is the easiest way to find this Poogie. It will be at the northern edge of the ledge by two large trees.
Poogie #21 — Beneath the Rock in the East
If you don't smash every ore deposit you see, you might never know that this particular one is home to a Poogie! You can reach this ledge simply by climbing the wall next to it. Smash the rock and Poogie is yours.
Poogie #22 — South of Mt. Canalta Lookout Point
As players scout the area of Mt. Canalta Lookout Point, players will notice a chest on a small hill to the south. What's harder to notice is that Poogie blends into the hill right next to it with the chest.
Players can easily fly over to pick up both the Poogie and the chest. But they must do so carefully, as they may be attacked by nearby flying monsters while doing so.
Poogie #23 — In the middle of a river
This Poogie is found relaxing next to one of the small rivers at Mount Canalta. Being towards the base of the mountain, the path along the river leading to Poogie is free of dangerous Monsties.
Poogie #24 — On the first northeast ledge
By traveling to Lookout point for Mount Canalta and facing north, players will see this Poogie on a raised ledge. The easiest way to reach it is by flying from this vantage point straight to the edge. However, players can also climb the wall next to Poogie to reach it.
Poogie #25 — On the second northeast ledge
Players will find this Poogie resting on a ledge overlooking the northern border of Canalta Timberland. This ledge will be the lowest in the area, so you may have to drop from some higher ledges to find it.
Poogie #26 — On the backside of Mt. Canalta
While wandering around the backside of Mount Canalta, players will find this Poogie on top of a climbable wall. Although easy to reach, there will be a strong Monstie hanging around the bottom of the wall.
Poogie #27 — At the north end of the frozen cave
This Poogie is the first to make his home in a cave system, and the only one that can be found in the Frozen Grotto. To enter the frozen cave, players must take one of three paths.
-
Drop through one hole in the left part of Mount Canalta.
-
Drop through one hole in the right part of Mount Canalta.
-
Go through the secret entrance behind the big waterfall near the first Canalta Timberland camp.
After entering the cave, players must go to its northernmost point to find Poogie.
