Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods was a major turning point for the franchise. The film is responsible for not only bringing Akira Toriyama back to the series, but also introducing new gods, a multiverse, and Dragon Ballfirst new transformation since Goku filled Super Saiyan 4 in Dragon Ball GT. By doing the god ritual with Vegeta, Gohan, Goten, Trunks, and Videl carrying Pan, Goku was able to unlock the Super Saiyan God and fight toe-to-toe with Beerus.
Dragon Ball: 10 Strongest Saiyan Fusions, Ranked
Dragon Ball's strongest Saiyan fusions are on another level, combining the raw natural talent each Saiyan possesses with fusion's broken power multiplier.
While Goku and Vegeta are the faces of Super Saiyan Gods Dragon Ball Superthey are not the only saiyans who have unlocked the god form. Non-canon side stories like Dragon Ball Heroes and Dragon Ball Legends has given a handful of other Saiyans access to Super Saiyan God, though only a handful can stack up to SSG Goku and Vegeta's god-like power.

Yamoshi was the original Super Saiyan God, but was killed by normal Saiyans
Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods reveals that Yamoshi was an Ancient Saiyan, and the first person in history to become both a Super Saiyan and a Super Saiyan God. Many Dragon Ball fans have this idea that Yamoshi is extremely powerful based on his legend alone, but everything we know about him from Dragon Ball Super would suggest that Yamoshi is actually quite weak.
While the Super Saiyan God Yamoshi was strong enough to rebel against the evil Saiyans, he eventually lost access to the form and was ultimately killed. The fact that Yamoshi was weak enough to lose without Super Saiyan God makes it clear that his base power level was actually quite low. By all accounts Yamoshi is actually the weakest SSG i Dragon Balland probably one of the weakest saiyans in the series.

Super Saiyan God Shallot is weaker than Ultimate Gohan
Shallot is the main character in Dragon Ball Legendsa gacha mobile game with a surprisingly solid story with decent saiyan lore. Shallot is an ancient saiyan who lived on Planet Vegeta when it was still Planet Sadala. Shallots are actually a descendant of Yamoshi, and in typical cases Dragon Ball fashion, Legends holds up the idea that the next generation will always be stronger than the last.
Early in Dragon Ball LegendsShallot is motivated by finding a way to become a Super Saiyan God, eventually doing so by performing the God Ritual with Goku, Teen Gohan, Teen Future Trunks, Cabba, and Caulifla. Super Saiyan God Shallot is strong enough to defeat an enhanced version of Buuhan and actually masters the form better than Goku. Even with Super Saiyan God though, Shallot wasn't quite strong enough to defeat Ultimate Gohan.
The 8 Weakest Super Saiyans in the Dragon Ball Franchise, Ranked
Of course, with so many characters now able to use a legendary form, Dragon Ball has quite a handful of weak Super Saiyans.

Giblet unlocked Super Saiyan God Before Shallot
Giblet is another ancient Saiyan and actually Shallot's twin brother. While Giblet is slightly younger than Shallot, that is implied Dragon Ball Legends that he is actually the stronger of the two. When Shallot finally unlocks Super Saiyan God, the in-game dialogue between him and Giblet suggests that Giblet actually unlocked the transformation before Shallot did.
Super Saiyan God Giblet is evenly matched with Super Saiyan God Shallot when they fight, but Giblet has an even stronger version of SSG once infected with Dark Ki. Super Saiyan God Giblet is strong enough to beat Syn Shenron using Dark Ki, and Goku even compares this version of SSG to Super Saiyan Blue Kaioken in terms of power, albeit mainly due to the Ki drain and the strain Dark Ki puts the body through.

Super Saiyan God Shallet beat Fused Zamasu AND Goku Black at the same time
Shallet is the result of Shallot and Giblet performing the Fusion Dance together. Of course, Shallet is significantly stronger than both of the Old Saiyans and is one of the strongest non-canon Saiyans in Dragon Ball. Super Saiyan God is Shallet's strongest form, but he can perform feats that even Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Vegeta could not accomplish.
Super Saiyan God Shallet manages to defeat both Fused Zamasu and Goku Black working together without taking a single injury. This is especially impressive since Fused Zamasu alone is already one of the strongest villains of all Dragon Ball. If Shallet ever unlocks Super Saiyan Blue, he would likely be stronger than Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta.

Super Saiyan God Trunks defeated an immortal enemy
Xeno Trunks is an alternate version of Future Trunks who is recruited into the Time Patrol by Chronoa, the Supreme Kai of Time, as a way to compensate for destroying the natural order through time travel. Xeno Trunks spends his life fighting enemies that mess with time (as seen in games like Dragon Ball Xenoverse and Xenoverse 2). IN Dragon Ball HeroesXeno Trunks surpasses his mainline counterpart by unlocking Super Saiyan God.
Super Saiyan God Trunks is strong enough to almost defeat Mechikabura in a straight fight, one of the few truly immortal Dragon Ball sign. Due to his immortality, Super Saiyan God Trunks does not beat Mechikabura with brute force, but by sealing him with his key sword and working together with Chronoa. That said, Super Saiyan God Trunks needed Super Saiyan 4 Vegito's help to keep Mechikabura at bay.
Dragon Ball: Bardock's 6 Strongest Transformations, Ranked
Dragon Ball Super and the series' non-canon spin-offs and video games have had a lot of fun making Bardock stronger with various transformations.
2
Vegeta Mastered Super Saiyan God To Fight Goku Black
IN Dragon Ball SuperVegeta initially skips the god ritual and instead learns how to go Super Saiyan Blue on his own by training on Beerus' Planet with Whis. While Vegeta does not unlock Super Saiyan God i Dragon Ball Super anime until Dragon Ball Super: Brolythe Dragon Ball Super manga includes a sub-plot where Vegeta brute force unlocks the Super Saiyan God on his own during the Goku Black Saga.
Because Super Saiyan Blue has serious Ki drain in it Dragon Ball Super Manga canon, Vegeta's goal is to use Super Saiyan God as his base form and activate Super Saiyan Blue in short enough bursts where he won't strain his body, but can still land big hits on Goku Black. Super Saiyan God Vegeta is strong enough to defeat Goku Black and later almost kill Broly when the two fight in the movie.

Goku can stack Super Saiyan God on top of True Ultra Instinct
Goku's version of Super Saiyan God is by far the strongest of all Dragon Ball. As of Granolah the Survivor Saga, Goku can now use Ultra Instinct whenever he wants, even when his heart is not at peace. In addition to that, Goku has learned how to transform into various Super Saiyan forms while using Ultra Instinct, allowing him to use UI's abilities while gaining a massive power boost from his various transformations.
While fighting Granolah, Goku stacks Super Saiyan God on top of Ultra Instinct and effortlessly avoids Granolah's attacks while making himself significantly stronger. Since no other Saiyan has access to Ultra Instinct, this makes Goku the strongest Super Saiyan god in Dragon Ball. Being able to use SSG and UI together gives Goku a huge advantage over Super Saiyan God Vegeta – and almost every other Saiyan.
