Heartopia is giving away free Gold and Wishing Stars to all players as compensation for three hours of scheduled downtime that the game experienced on March 4. While anyone who plays Heartopia is able to claim these rewards, they’ll only be sticking around for a few days, so players will have to act quickly if they want to add them to their accounts.

Gold and Wishing Stars as just two of the many different types of currencies in Heartopia, which all have different functions and ways for players to earn or buy them. They’re not as highly prized in the community as some other forms of currency, like Exhibition passes and ticket stubs, which allow for pulls from The Gilded Acorn and swapping out duplicates for color variants, respectively. But while neither Gold nor Wishing Stars are anywhere near a premium currency, they are both quite versatile, especially in the early to mid-game, giving players the ability to buy basic furniture, clothing, upgrades, and crafting items without relying on the random nature of the game’s gacha mechanics.

All Heartopia players should now be able to claim 8,000 Gold and 10 Wishing Stars in the aftermath of the game’s scheduled downtime, regardless of whether they tried to log in while the game was unavailable. However, players will only be able to claim these items until 5 p.m. on March 7, so some haste is suggested for casual players who don’t make frequent log-ins. In order to claim the free Heartopia Gold and Wishing Stars, players will only need to start the game and pick up the rewards from the in-game mailbox.

The scheduled maintenance in Heartopia was from 3-6 p.m. Eastern Standard Time on March 4, and it was intended to allow time for the implementation of a patch to improve server maintenance and fix a variety of persistent bugs that have been present in the game. This server downtime has allowed the development team at XD to implement a variety of performance upgrades centered around Heartopia‘s book writing, ice skating, roller coaster, and photo activities. Ice skaters are now able to stack energy for combos when skating hand-in-hand with a friend, while the Shoot mode has added in‑shot adjustments, preset camera motions, and the abilities to move around with the camera stationary and delete photos from the album in batches. Roller coaster tracks can now be colored and support multiple loops, while aspiring authors can zoom in on their books and purchase, read, and like other player’s works through Friends Link.

In addition to these changes, a bunch of new items have been added to shops across Heartopia‘s island paradise, with even more on the way. Coffee lovers should already be able to find new items at Bob’s Furniture Store, including the Commercial Espresso Machine, Coffee Grinder, and Coffee Bean Set, and a variety of new pet costumes have been added to the list at Mrs. Joan’s Pet Store. Likewise, The Research Store now features Portal series furniture and Slide series building materials. In addition to these new objects, which are already available in shops for players lucky enough to find them, new additions in the Personality series have been added for sale in Dorothee’s Clothing Store through the patch, but they won’t become available for purchase until March 14, giving fashion-conscious players something to look forward to in the near future.

Along with waiting for the clothing store to add to its stock, players can look forward to a special event in Heartopia called The Shape of You. Starting March 13 and running through April 5, players will be able to take a special personality test, answering a set of questions that best reflect their true selves. This event will be available under the Discover menu.

The Research Store will introduce new items: Portal series furniture (Floor Portal, Ceiling Portal) and Slide series building materials (Straight Slide, Left-Curved Slide, Large Left-Curved Slide, Right-Curved Slide, Large Right-Curved Slide).
The Portals will support customizable entrances and exits. The new Slides can be used together with previous slides!

Book Writing

Added zooming in on images in books.
Optimized the memory and restoration function of the editing position when writing books. Also optimized the position and screen tracking experience during editing.

Tap

When the D.G. Members cannot pay attention to their surroundings, such as when painting, writing books, or building, they may not receive messages from other D.G Members on time. In such cases, other D.G Members can try to get in touch with them via the Tap function.

Life Fragment

Increase the Bond Level with Penguins to level 4 or above. Once the Winter Frost Season ends, D.G Members will periodically receive their Life Fragments of the Penguins.
The Life Fragments include AI-generated images.
