New Heartopia Fashion Wave for March 2026 Revealed

A new Fashionwave event in Heartopia has been leaked for March 21st, bringing players some fresh spring outfits, builds, recipes and more. Heartopias cozy slow-life appeal has caught on quickly with Western audiences, and while not all players are happy with the leaked goodies coming their way, the response so far has been generally positive.

First released in China in summer 2024, Heartopia is still new to the life-sim scene for the rest of the world, having only launched globally on mobile platforms on January 7th and coming to Steam shortly thereafter. Despite its recent worldwide release, it's caught on quickly, with its leisurely pace and gacha-heavy system for acquiring new items drawing in plenty of early fans, with live player counts reaching as high as 65,000 on PC alone, according to SteamStats.

Early Heartopia players may soon have a chance to grab a bunch more decorations to spruce up their living spaces on Whale Island, as a new leak with Chinese text is circulating, saying that a new Fashionwave event is coming on March 21st. Shared on Reddit by user alexis1197, this event will bring two different outfits, both a black and a white dressing and a jacket, pants and floppy cap for male avatars. The upcoming event will also reportedly provide a variety of items that allow more freedom to customize Heartopia home, including signs, fences, arches, awnings, windows, cobblestone paths and floating shrubs and trees. Many of these items appear to be built around the theme of movies, as preview images show a film reel, studio spotlight, clapboard, illuminated movie poster, and popcorn among the items that will be available for purchase.

Getting more customization for avatars and homes isn't the only thing players can look forward to, if the leak is legit. At least 20 new ones Heartopia cooking recipes seem to be on the way, including popcorn and other cinema snacks, in addition to some more traditional dishes. Along with more food options, the leak also reveals some new fish and bugs to catch, which also reflects the Hollywood theme, with winged bugs holding clapboards and octopuses decked out in berets and sunglasses. The cute designs of these creatures have received particular praise from the fan community.

Fashionwave events grant players a special Fashionwave shop that has a rotating selection of items each day, all of which can be purchased with event-specific Fashionwave tokens. Items in this shop change daily, so while there's an element of randomness to finding the pieces players want the most, it's still a more reliable system than just pulling from the game's regular gacha system to pick up specific pieces. Earn Fashionwave Tokens Heartopia can be drawn in a number of different ways, as players can acquire them by completing weekly challenges, cooking recipes, and selling items to the NPC running the shop. Fans who still can't find what they're looking for can update the store manually, but doing so consumes a large amount of gold.

The Spring Fashionwave event will reportedly be the same for players on the Chinese servers as it will be for the rest of the world, which will keep things consistent for old and new players alike. However, this information does not come from the game's publisher and developer, XD Inc., so it has yet to be confirmed. If true, some fans outside of China have found this report worrisome, as it seems that keeping the servers linked in time would make it impossible for players to purchase Fashionwave items from events that took place before Heartopias worldwide release.
