This post contains spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 is about to enter a very crucial period where the focus of the entire anime will be on the Culling Game. After being mentioned hundreds of times in the anime, it's finally time for MAPPA to show the audience that the hype is indeed justified.
IN Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 7, Itadori Yuji and Megumi Fushiguro finally entered Tokyo Colony 1 to participate in the Culling Game. The duo planned to stick together, as it would allow them to deal with threats more easily, but their plans were shattered the moment they entered the barrier. It was probably planned by Kenjaku, as he didn't want people to band together and dominate the proceedings. After all, it's more fun when both sides are on edge and going all-out.
Kenjaku may have some parental instinct
Kenjaku thanked Sasaki in the last episode
Before diving into the battles of the seventh episode, it's time to address the elephant in the room – Kenjaku's strange conversation with Sasaki. While escorting her out of the barrier, Kenjaku thanked her for being his son's friend. Sasaki was confused, so she couldn't understand the statement right away. However, after waking up and meeting the others, she realized that Kenjaku was referring to Itadori Yuji.
At first glance, the statement seems to mean nothing, especially since Kenjaku is a cruel and ruthless individual. But at the same time, there was no real need for him to thank Sasaki. He could have just escorted her out of the barrier and left to begin the next phase of his plan to evolve humanity. Unfortunately, the anime is unlikely to expand on the situation immediately, so fans will have to wait a while before learning about Kenjaku's true feelings.

The episode is called the best of season 3
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 8 will be released on February 26, 2026. The episode is called “Tokyo No. 1 Colony, Part 2.” Just by looking at the title, it's quite clear that the new episode will focus on Itadori and Megumi's adventures in Tokyo Colony 1. So far, Itadori and Megumi have had very different experiences inside the barrier. Megumi met a woman, whom he outmatched quite easily, and then asked her to guide him to Higuruma.

On the other hand, Itadori Yuji had to fight not one but two newly awakened wizards. Like most participants, both wanted to kill others to collect points and then apply a rule to benefit themselves. Unfortunately, they underestimated Itadori, which led to them being pushed by the hero. After dealing with the two, Itadori met a “friendly” guy, Amai. The latter recognized Itadori, being from the same hometown. When Itadori asked him about Higuruma, the guy replied, “Ikebukuro.” In comparison, Remi told Megumi that Higuruma was in Shinjuku.
Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 8: What To Expect
Considering that Itadori and Megumi got different answers, it's safe to say that they won't be reuniting anytime soon. Itadori will be heading to Ikebukuro, while Megumi will be heading to Shinjuku. Based on the preview, it seems that Higuruma will be the center of attention in JJK Season 3 Episode 8. So far, fans only know that Higuruma is among the two contestants who have accumulated 100 points in the Culling Game, which means he is extremely strong. However, the audience has yet to see Higuruma in action, but that will change in the upcoming episode.
If Higuruma gets close to them first, he will have the advantage of catching them off guard. Also, Megumi and Itadori are separated, so he won't be outnumbered. Everything points to Higuruma showing off his strength in the new episode, so fans just need to be patient a little longer to learn about him.
