Guns are more than just tools of destruction High On Life 2; they are your best friends, companions and sometimes the worst influences you could ask for. While we love and appreciate all of these weapons just the way they are, the fun begins when you purchase the upgrades for each weapon from Jorb's shop.
However, there are other methods of unlocking weapon upgrades, such as completing challenges scattered throughout the world. These are the best upgrades to choose from, along with their unlock times in High On Life 2.
What weapon upgrades can you get?
High on Life 2 offers a solid range of six (technically seven) different weapons to choose between:
- Bowie
- Creature
- Gus
- Sheath
- Sweezy
- Travis and Jan
Each of these weapons has a set of upgrades to earn through play or purchase from Jobs upgrade act in your Quarter area.

With an overview of available choices, it is important to prioritize the most useful upgrades to help you get through the toughest boss battles without batting an eye.
Which weapon upgrades to choose first
First of all, you should decide which weapon works best for you, and prioritize that weapon over everything else.
High on Life 2 is a decent challenge, but it allows for different playstyles to be successful, so don't try to make anything work if you're not gung ho.
If you want to try the best options to make your journey through the game easier, consider these upgrade options before others.
- Bowie's Leg Lock – What needs to be said about extra headshot injuries? If you can master precision aiming, this is one of the most powerful shots you can unleash in the game.
- Gus's Slug Chunker & Cartridge Canal – Gus is very situational due to his short range, but he's a great option for quickly finishing off bigger bosses. Tiffany and Muppy Doo are two good examples of bosses who fight against Gus.
- Travis and Jan's Puch Rounds & Agony Dial – Travis and Jan are the best overall weapons in High on Life 2, so you should get both of their upgrades from Jorb ASAP so you can maximize your DPS. These two are excellent for general use or boss fights, and a must have.
The other upgrades are certainly useful, but these featured options stand tall as the most useful for making your boss fight faster while still being able to tear your way through hordes of enemies.
High On Life 2: Should you press the red button?
Do it, do it, do it, do it, do it.
