30th anniversary of Pokémon franchise is getting ever closer, and all eyes are on what Game Freak and The Pokemon Company will have in store for the future of the series. Although nothing has been officially confirmed, the massive TeraLeak of Pokémon information that has surfaced over the past year points towards Gen 10 being a landmark in the series, which is allegedly titled Pokemon wind and wave. Much has been leaked about the new region too Wind and wavewhich is said to be an island region based on Indonesia, but few details about the Gen 10 Pokedex have been made clear.
Recently, details of the wider region of Pokemon wind and wave has surfaced, including the different locations players can visit, the gym types they'll encounter, and the new “Majin” battle mechanic. As a result, players have a good idea of what to expect from the Gen 10 games, even if it's not official yet. However, despite the lack of concrete information about the Gen 10 Pokedex, there have been some leaked images that include what appear to be returning animals that players can expect to encounter in Pokemon wind and wave.
Pokemon Wind and Wave's leaked gym basically confirms the Elite Four as well
A recent leak detailed the types for most of Pokemon Wind and Wave's big battles, making it clear which types the game is saving for its Elite Four.
Pokemon have been leaked to be in the wind and waves so far
The majority of the information was leaked Pokemon wind and wave comes from TeraLeak of data that included ongoing builds of upcoming games such as Wind and wave. This information was shared on X by CentroLeaks, but should still be taken with a grain of salt as things could have changed during the development of Gen 10. Until Pokémon officially reveal the new games and their Pokedex, these leaks should still be treated as unconfirmed.

Some of the earliest leaked Pokemon for Gen 10 appeared even before that Wind and wave titles became known. This leak, posted by HiddenPowerPod on X, showed an image of Aron and Lairon in a screenshot of what is believed to be an ongoing build of the Gen 10 battle system. The post went on to detail that the original leaker also mentioned seeing Butterfree and Charjabug in the test build.
Several Gen 1 Pokemon have also been leaked, including several instances of Charizard appearing in development screenshots shared by CentroLeaks. Along with Charizard, Pikachu and Machamp have also appeared, all of which are said to have received remodels Pokemon wind and wave. It would be very strange if Pokémons mascot Pikachu wasn't in the Gen 10 games, but it's nice to know that other popular Gen 1 animals are still returning.
Rotom has been leaked to be included via the game's bicycle replacement, the Rotom Scooter. Lucario has also been seen in several development screenshots, making it very likely that the Gen 4 Fighting/Steel type will return in some capacity. Sandygast and Mudsdale are also two Gen 7 mons that have appeared in leaked development screenshots, but it is unclear if these are placeholders or if these mons are indeed slated to return in Gen 10.
Shinx and Gyarados are other animals that appear in what looks like a screenshot of the early Gen 10 battle system, so it's possible they might not make it into the final game. There is also a video shared by CentroLeaks showing Dondozo, Luvdisc and Lumineon in a sea biome. This footage seems designed to showcase the water physics in Gen 10, but it's likely still an early build of the game.
New Pokemon are coming to Gen 10's Wind and Wave
There haven't been many leaks about the new Gen 10 Pokemon coming in Wind and waveand those that have appeared are only descriptions. A new animal is described as a seed Pokemon that the player receives early in the game and can evolve into almost infinite variations depending on how the player takes care of it on their journey. While the actual design for the Gen 10 starters has not been revealed, the method of getting them is said to involve capturing one to break up a traffic jam the starters cause in the starting city, where the player arrives at the beginning of the game.
Pokemon Leaker Confirms Classic Games Will Switch
A noted Pokemon leaker says old classics from the Game Boy and GBA eras are coming back to Switch for Pokemon's 30th anniversary.
How Pokemon Wind and Wave's leaked region map could affect Gen 10's Pokedex
Much of what has been shown or described in these Pokemon wind and wave leaks so far sound very familiar for the types of animals players can find in Pokemon sun and moons Alola region back in Gen 7. Seeing mons like Charjabug, Sandygast, and Mudsdale, some of Alola's most iconic creatures, makes it seem like Gen 10 will be aiming for a similar feel with its Pokedex. There are also areas with leaked names that suggest certain Pokemon will appear, even if they haven't been seen by leakers. For example, an island should contain a place called Woobat Cave, so it is likely that Woobat will be found here. Another area is called the Anthill Fieldlands, which could suggest it's home to a beast like Durant, or the rumored new Anti-inspired Pokémon.
Also, there will almost certainly be a lot of water in it Pokemon wind and waveas players are said to be island hopping on their adventure. The presence of water-type Pokémon such as Dondozo, Luvdisc, and Lumineon is likely only the tip of the iceberg, as Pokemon sun and moon had almost 60 species of water types in his Pokedex. With over 1,000 animals now in the franchise, Wind and wave might have a hard time getting that number down for their Pokedex, but until fans can get their hands on the full games, these leaks should paint a picture of what to expect when Gen 10 finally launches.
