2025 was a big year for anime movies, with both Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba The Movie: Infinity Castle and Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc impresses fans and critics. Now, anime fans finally get the chance to stream the latter at home.
Crunchyroll has announced it Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc coming to the platform this spring, although no specific date has been made available yet.
Reze Arc Movie is finally coming to streaming
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc was released on September 19, 2025 in Japan. The film then hit North American theaters on October 24, 2025. Now, Crunchyroll is finally bringing the film to home streaming. Fans should expect to receive an exact release date as we approach the Spring 2026 window.
Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc adapts the manga's Bomb Girl Arc (also known as the Reze Arc). Crunchyroll describes the film as:
Based on the hugely popular anime series, Chainsaw Man continues in an all-new epic, action-packed adventure. In the midst of a brutal war between devils and hunters, another battle begins in Denji's heart when he meets a mysterious girl named Reze. Encountering secret enemies and fighting for his humanity, Denji fights his deadliest battle yet.
The film was praised by critics and received a 96% fresh rating from Rotten Tomatoes and a 98% fan rating on the site. It grossed over $173 million at the box office, earning $43 million domestically and $130 million at the international box office.
The film stars Kikunosuke Toya (The fragrant flower blooms with dignity Shouhei Usami, Windbreaker Chouji Tomiyama) as Denji and Reina Ueda as Reze (Solo Leveling's Cha Hae-in, Demon Slayers Kanao Tsuyuri), with Tomori Kusunoki (Love Lives Setsuna Yuki) as Makima, Fairouz Ai (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure's Jolyne Cujoh) as Power, and Shiori Izawa (Made in Abyss' Nanachi) as Pochita.
The English voice cast has Ryan Colt Levy (The Patriot's Moriarty John H. Watson) as Denji and Alexis Tipton (Kaguya-sama: Love is war Kaguya) as Reze, with Suzie Yeung (Fruit basket Kyo) who voices Makima, Sarah Wiedenheft (Teasing Master Takagi-san's Takagi) as Power, and Lindsay Seidel (Assassination Classroom's Nagisa) as Pochita.
MAPPA handled the production of the film, with Tatsuya Yoshihara directing and the screenplay by Hiroshi Seko. Yoshihara has done key animations for series such as Jujutsu Kaisen and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhoodand directed episodes 4 and 10 of Chainsaw man anime. Seko has worked on series such as Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga, Jujutsu Kaisenand more.

Tatsuki Fujimoto's Chainsaw man manga began serialization in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump on December 3, 2018. The series later moved to the Shonen Jump+ platform in July 2022. Before Chainsaw Man's success Fujimoto was best known for Fire Punchwhich was serialized in Shonen Jump+ from April 2016 to January 2018. Fujimoto has also received praise for his one-shots, such as Goodbye, Eri and Look backthe latter of which received an anime adaptation in 2024. A collection of his one-shots titled, Tatsuki Fujimoto before the chainsaw manwas released in 2021 and an ONA licensed by Amazon Prime Video and produced by various studios such as PA Works, Zexcs and others was released on November 7, 2025.
Fujimoto's assistants have continued to have great success, with Yuji Kaku (Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku), Tatsuya Endo (Spy × Family), and Yukinobu Tatsu (Dandadan) all of whom have worked under him at one point or another. MAPPA released a 12-episode adaptation of Chainsaw man manga in the fall season of 2022. After the success of Reze Arc movie, a sequel to the anime, Chainsaw Man – Assassin's Arcwas announced during the Jump Festa '26 event.
