How to get more villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons
Players will move into Tom Nook's island along with a sister and a Jock villager. As they help create the town, Tom will give players Getaway Package Plans to put down, allowing them to invite more villagers to move. Essentially, players will be responsible for recruiting new villagers to the island. There are three ways to bring in villagers Animal Crossing: New Horizons:
Place a plot and wait a day
When a home plot is not filled at the end of the day, a random villager will automatically claim it when the day resets. Therefore one of the ways to bring in a new villager New horizons is to simply place a Getaway Package Plot and wait until the next day; the plot must have an owner and the next morning a villager has moved in.
Find a villager on a Nook Island
When players have an open plot on their island, they will encounter villagers on Nook Islands. Players can fly to a Nook Island by purchasing a Nook Miles ticket for 2,000 Nook Miles and handing it to Orville at the airport.
Once on the island, players should look for a campfire, as the villagers will hang around the fire. Players can approach the villagers, talk to them, and they will see a dialogue choice that gives them the option to invite them to move to their island. If they don't want this villager to become a resident, then all they have to do is ignore them or choose the other option. Then they can continue to explore the Nook Islands and search for their dream villager.
Invite a camping visitor
After setting up the campsite on their island, visitors sometimes come to visit. Players can talk to them, and if they are nice to them, they might even consider moving there. Players can do this by talking to the camper and showing interest in them staying after their camping trip.
Additionally, players can invite a villager to stay at the campsite through amiibo or amiibo cards. To do this, they must go into Resident Services, interact with the Nook Stop and select Invite Camper. Players can have one guest at the campsite each day. The process to get an amiibo character to move is exactly the same as any other camper, but players must invite them back and talk to them for three days in a row to convince them to stay.
Alternatively, players can also visit a friend who has a villager about to move and invite them to move to their island. If they've had someone move out recently, the villagers can simply automatically join their island through the first method in this guide.
