When it comes to creating new equipment Hytale, players will need more than just shiny new ore. Cloth scraps and leather are also key components for crafting new gear, and when it comes to crafting cobalt gear, players will need to acquire Shadoweave Scraps as well.
Shadoweave Scrap is one of the many crafting materials in Hytaleand while they may seem hard to come by at first, they're actually quite common, provided you know where to look for them.
How to get Iron Ingot in Hytale
Iron Ore is a central part of early game development in Hytale. Here's how to find it and smelt it to get iron ingot.
Hytale Shadoweave Scraps Location
You can get Shadoweave Scraps by beating Outlanders in snow biomes. These guys are a lot tougher than your average Skeleton soldier or any of the other humanoid-type enemies in previous biomes, so make sure you're wearing decent protection and rocking a solid weapon before taking them on.
Outlanders are mostly found in camps scattered around snow/tundra regions. They are easy to see on the map and even easier to see when you are on the horizon. Such bases are often filled with various types of Outlanders, including fighters, archers, and mages. Be sure to bring some healing items and maybe some repair kits too, and to be extra safe, try making a bedroll camp outside an Outlander base in case things don't go as planned.
Each Outlander has a fairly high chance of dropping a Shadoweave Scrap, but since you're already in one of their bases, tsearch around for chests and other containers to find even more scrap and other materials.
If you'd rather not create a new base near a snow biome, or if you simply want to reduce travel time when harvesting materials far from your base, then try building some Teleporters. These allow you to jump to and from different parts of the map instantly. To make some you must first make an Arcanist's Workbench and craft them from there. Horses will also make the trip faster, but taking one with you requires some preparation.
Bows are extremely effective in Hytaleas long as you can keep your distance. You can easily outrun the melee Outlanders, so if you're having trouble clearing out a camp, try to attack from range.
How to use Shadoweave Scraps in Hytale
Shadoweave Scraps are much like Linen Scraps – they are primarily used as crafting ingredients. Players will primarily use Shadoweave Scraps to craft cobalt weapons, armor, and tools, although this material may also be needed to upgrade crafting stations (such as the Armorer's Workbench).
