IN Heartopiayou'll come across all sorts of hidden treasures, from the friendships you make with your neighbors to the resources you collect across the island. Each of them is unique, but there is nothing quite as magical as making friends with wild animals.
In order to befriend the animals in Heartopia, you must find not only their favorite food, but also their fodder in the wild. We'll break down everything you need to know so you can become a friend to nature in no time! Here's how to get started with the Animal Care features and how to deepen your bond with the animals.
How to unlock animal care
As you progress through the main story and level up your Developer's Guild, you'll unlock the Animal Care section of your city guide. With it, you'll chat with Annie to learn about the various wildlife on the island. Each one is unique and sticks to a specific area, and they like their own mix of food.
Heartopia: Complete Guide to the Fishing Hobby
Have as many fish as you can catch!
As part of the quest, Annie will ask you to locate the Sika deer's food trough in the forest. Fill it with food from your inventory, then wait a while for the animals to eat it. This will increase your bond level with the animal group, and you can refill the trough over time.
Although you can track the trough when you find it from the Animals app on your watch, it's a good idea to place a marker on the map so you don't forget where each one is.
As your bond level increases with each group of animals, you will increase specific stats with them. This includes the probability of an animal visit, successful interaction, and a gift left at a trough.
Additionally, each group of animals has specific interactions, from simply petting and feeding them to playing games like hide and seek. You'll also unlock specific furniture from the animal family as a sign of your friendship, so be sure to play with any animals you find!
Every animal trough and favorite food Feeding an animal their favorite food will increase their bond with you faster!
