Harry Potter: 24 funniest quotes
The Harry Potter franchise is home to tons of humorous quotes that still make fans laugh to this day.
It's also a great showcase for many young aspiring voice actors, with most of the students having separate actors, one for the first three books and then another for the last four books. Cash Jumbo also acts as an anchor from start to finish, telling all the magical descriptions and Harry's inner thoughts with gravitas.
Main roles and characters of the Harry Potter audiobooks in full cast
For the most part, the characters and their voice actors are listed below how many times they are mentioned in the books. However, some characters further down the list can play in some books, with Gilderoy Lockhart being the perfect example, and because he never stops talking, Kit Harrington got to have a lot of fun in Chamber of Secrets.
There are some unknowns that have not been included. For example, it can be assumed that some of the other child actors will change for the fourth book and beyond.

Movies and shows to watch to see the new Harry Potter cast
To see more of the new Harry Potter cast on HBO, fans should check out these TV shows and movies.
Harry Potter
Frankie Treadaway and Jaxon Knopf
Aside from the narrator, Cash Jumbo, no one has a larger role than that assigned to Frankie Treadaway and Jaxon Knopf. They step into the shoes of The Boy Who Lived, Harry Potter himself, starring Frankie in the first three audiobooks, before passing the proverbial baton to Jaxon for the rest of the series.
Although there are only bits and pieces of Jaxon's performance, Frankie Treadaway is already off to an incredible start, providing a heartfelt portrayal with hints of the ugliness to come that book readers love so much.
Ron Weasley
Max Lester and Rhys Mulligan
Ron Weasley and the rest of his family are all from Devon, and as such are portrayed with a West Country twang. For the first three books, Max Lester plays Harry's steadfast friend before Rhys Mulligan takes over The Goblet of Fire and the rest of the series.
In the two audiobooks released so far, Max Lester has been brilliant, with many scenes highlighting why Ron is a much better character in the books than he was in the movies, where he was mainly used for comic relief. Neither of these two young actors seem to have been involved in much else so far, so this might be the perfect kick-off for their acting careers.
Hermione Granger
Arabella Stanton & Nina Barker-Francis
Interestingly, and perhaps for good reason given her performance and natural fit, Arabella Stanton is in a unique position, having been cast as Hermione Granger in both the fullcast audiobooks and the upcoming HBO Harry Potter TV program. It only takes one line of dialogue to realize she's the perfect Hermione.
After Arabella, Nina Barker-Francis then takes over for the last four books in the series, playing an older Hermione. After appearing in a number of shows, such as Wolf King, The Jettyand even a brief appearance in House of the Dragonfans can get a glimpse of what to expect.
Albus Dumbledore
Hugh Laurie
Hugh Laurie is easily one of the biggest names on an enviable cast Potter audiobooks, and he joins an ever-growing group of actors for portraying Albus Dumbledore. The House star plays a calm and bookish Dumbledore, who is unlikely to yell at Harry for putting his name in the Goblet of Fire.
He also has a link to an older version of the audiobooks, as he and Stephen Fry had their own show, Little Fry and Laurie, which aired during the time when young Harry was growing up and attending Hogwarts.
Rubeus Hagrid
Mark Addy
Mark Addy, perhaps best known for his portrayal of Robert Baratheon in Game of Throneslends his booming voice to Rubeus Hagrid i Harry Potter audiobooks and undoubtedly steal the show. His version of the friendly half-giant is more confident, cheerful and yet harsh towards those who offend the likes of Dumbledore and Harry.
They play a major role in each of the seven books and fans will hear a lot from Mark Addy as Harry, Ron and Hermione are frequent visitors to the gamekeeper's hut.
The best Harry Potter games of all time
Although Harry Potter games tend to be extremely hit-or-miss, some releases capture the magic of the books, movies, and overall universe.
