One of the defining characteristics of Solo Leveling's the main character, Sung Jinwoo, is that he can always level up and become stronger. Basically, there is no limit to how strong Jinwoo can become, and that is one of his most defining characteristics. Jinwoo spent the vast majority of the Solo Leveling series fighting enemies stronger than him and surpassing them all. In the end, hardly anyone could stand in his way.
Solo Leveling is officially getting a new show in December

Sung Jinwoo isn't the only hunter who can level up anymore
Solo Leveling Ragnarok isn't exactly an official sequel to the manhwa. While most fans believed that it was the only sequel the series would ever get, this idea was squashed by the author himself.

According to Chugong, Solo Leveling Ragnarok is a series that takes place in a parallel universe. That means his own story has no real sequel, and that's what sets Ragnarök apart for now. Still, it's the only sequel series available at the moment, and in it, Jinwoo has a son named Sung Suho. Suho is incredibly powerful and just like his father, he can level up as well. But he does not limit this ability to himself.
Sung Suho's Shadow Creation allows other hunters to level up
By using a clever loophole, he can allow others to level up as well, which basically takes away from Jinwoo what really makes him special in the story. Using his clever Shadow Creation ability, Suho can essentially make weapons out of Shadows and then distribute them among his friends. These weapons can directly level up, meaning that everyone around him can also get stronger without actually being able to level up themselves.

In other words, anyone fighting alongside Suho can now officially go up in Solo Levelingand it is absolutely huge. Fans got to see this big change in Chapter 62 of the Solo Leveling Ragnarok manhwa, and it goes without saying that this change was welcomed by the fans who are tired of seeing the sidecast reduced to just observing on the sidelines.
Solo Leveling has changed for the better in Ragnarok
It's understandable why some fans might not like this new change in Solo Leveling as it makes Jinwoo less special in a way. But what Jinwoo can do and what everyone else can do with their weapons are completely different. Jinwoo is still a God in the Solo Leveling world and no one can come close to him in terms of power, not even his son, Suho.
In that sense, nothing has really been taken away from Jinwoo. The only thing this new ability does is act as a way for all other hunters to also level up so they can further their own character arcs in interesting ways without being reduced to observers on the sidelines.
Fans have come to love this decision by Daul, and it adds a lot of depth to a cast of characters that desperately needs it. Solo Leveling faces quite a bit of criticism because they haven't been able to flesh out their supporting characters properly, but with this change it's now possible.
It could be the end of an era for Jinwooconsidering he's not the only one who can now get progressively stronger with each battle, but that doesn't matter and shouldn't hold much weight in the grand scheme of things, as this change is a net positive for the Solo Leveling series and something most fans seem to enjoy.
Solo Leveling has two seasons out right now, one with 12 episodes and the other with 13, for a combined episode count of 25 episodes available to watch right now. The series can be streamed on Crunchyroll for fans to enjoy while they wait for more news about the third season. There has been no major announcement about a third season so far.
