Naruto Uzumaki eventually returns to Boruto
When the Boruto series started, fans were shocked to know that Naruto Uzumaki could potentially have died. This depends on the story's prologue clearly teased Naruto's death. But as things unraveled in the story, it became clearer that Naruto wasn't actually dead but seriously incapacitated. After being sealed by Kawaki, Naruto has not returned to history properly. But that will most likely change very soon.

The likes of Sarada, Mitsuki and even Konohamaru either already realize or have started to realize the truth as well.
As such, Omnipotence won't play a significant role in the story for long, meaning that Kawaki will be forced to release the Seventh Hokage eventually. This will likely happen after Jura's fall, and Kawaki will continue to destroy Konoha, and the battle between Boruto and him will begin.
Naruto may be back after the fall of Jura
First of all, the plot of Jura and Shinju must be dealt with. The current arc of Boruto will most certainly involve all three Hidari, Jura and Mamushi. If all three of the Shinju fall in this arc, the next arc may very well be the one where Kawaki and Boruto face each other. That means at the end of the next arc, fans may very well see theirs beloved Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, returns.

Naruto will gain new powers after his return
