Larian Studios may reveal its next game at The Game Awards 2025, with the demonic statue in the Mojave Desert seemingly attached to its Divinity IP. Without a doubt, Larian Studios received tons of attention when Baldur's Gate 3 was released in 2023, but it's a well-known developer with plenty of work within its own IP. Fans may see more of this soon, which is much sooner than I would have expected.
Fans have known that Larian would not be developing any DLC for Baldur's Gate 3 or press with Baldur's Gate 4, with the developer instead choosing to follow his own passions. While this disappointed some fans, it's good to see a studio working on what it wants to work on, not just what's guaranteed to sell like hotcakes. Yet Larian returns to Divinity with the resources and know-how that raised BG3 is exactly what fans need to see.
Baldur's Gate 3 developers have a funny reaction to the 2025 Game Awards nomination
Baldur's Gate 3 is nominated for yet another gaming award, and the developers have an honest and funny response to learning the news.
As reported by MP1st, Larian recently filed some new trademarks related to IP. Whether this is a new sub-franchise, Divinity: Original Sin 3or somehow a new title in his second Divinity game remains to be seen, but one of the logos associated with it is almost identical to the demonic statue. Not to mention, a demonic statue is totally in line with Divinity franchise and Larian stories, so after seeing the statue and symbol, it has become a strong bet.

Look at the symbol in the lower right as it relates to the statue
There have been two teases alongside this statue: “Regal.inspiring.thickness.” and “The [redacted] are silent. [Redacted] bleeding. Now [redacted] stir.” Untruthfully, these are vague enough to be almost anything, but givens Divinitys lore, the source, and the overall plot, it makes as much sense as anything else.
The Game Awards surprises
Every year Geoff Keighley and the team try to surprise players. There are always rumors and leaks, so this should be taken with a grain of salt, but the mysterious TGA statue has to be related to something. That it's related to Larian Studios would be the biggest possible surprise, given that Baldur's Gate 3 is quite fresh. Fans shouldn't expect this to be much more than a teaser, though Larian's next game may enter Early Access just as Baldur's Gate 3but it's definitely up there in terms of surprises.
All of this should be taken with a grain of salt, but it looks like The Game Awards 2025 is shaping up to be really special. At least the statue is something, and the fact that it could be a new game from Larian is about as surprising as it comes. Other rumored games for TGA include a new one Star Wars The Old Republic game (although it is uncertain if it is VERTEBRAE remake), a possible PC port for Death Stranding 2, Control 2, Silent Hill 1 Remake, AC4: Black Flag Remake, Pragmataand Onimusha: Path of the Sword also rumored. Even then, among this list, Larian would probably be the big show-stopper.
If anyone has played Baldur's Gate 3but not Divinity: Original Sin especially games, they are an easy recommendation. Everything you love with BG3 is there, if the quality is a little lower. A new one Divinity game with the quality of Baldur's Gate 3 is an incredibly exciting prospect, one that I didn't even expect to be teased for another few years.
I wouldn't even be surprised if this statue and, as such, Larian was “one last thing” for the show. Either way, it seems like fans are eating up — especially if it proves these brands are related to the statue.
