NetEase Games has released a new set of patch notes for Marvel Rivalsgiving players a fresh look at everything coming to the game with the November 27th update. Marvel Rivals recently launched Season 5, which added Strategist Gambit to the popular hero shooter's ever-growing roster. While many fans are already looking forward to the title's big mid-season update in December, NetEase Games has been busy preparing a plethora of new content for players to experience before then.
As a live service title, Marvel Rivals regularly adds new events and modes to the game to keep players coming back for more. Most recently, NetEase Games launched a PvE mode as part of its partnership with the hit show Disney+ Marvel Zombies. The mode gave players the opportunity to team up with others and face waves of the undead. However, not all heroes were playable, as only The Punisher, Magik, Thor, Blade, and Jeff the Land Shark were included in the game mode's roster. The location proved to be a great success for Marvel Rivalsas the game saw a significant increase in players. With the launch of Season 5, NetEase Games also launched the Elders' Chessboard event, giving players the opportunity to complete challenges to earn the free Iron Spider skin for Spider-Man. The Iron Spider costume is a unique red and gold look from the comics that has proven popular with many fans.

Marvel Rivals November 27th update includes free rewards
In a recent post on Twitter, NetEase Games outlined all the changes and new content players will be able to experience when they boot up the game on November 27th. The full patch notes will be listed below, but it's worth taking a deeper look at the highlights. With the new update, players will be given the opportunity to experience a completely new game mode in Marvel Rivals called 18v18 Holocaust. The location also has a fresh map, called the Grand Garden. While it looks chaotic to have 36 players on the field at once, the mode gives fans a new way to build teams and face off like never before.
The update also starts Marvel Rivals' Anniversary Celebration, which gives players a chance to earn 2,500 units to spend in the store. While this large pile of units may allow players to pick up some fresh cosmetics, they also come with a new catch. Many of the units will only last for a limited time. This means that players will need to spend them before the event ends. The game's currency bar at the top of the screen distinguishes which units will only remain for a limited time and which are permanent. Players can see how much time they have to spend their units by highlighting the currency and viewing the details.
The update also includes a new event pass called Jeff's Break Time, which includes new cosmetics for Jeff the Land Shark, Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman in Marvel Rivals. To progress in the pass, players must earn experience by playing matches. After doing so, players will receive silver and gold tokens to use in a virtual vending machine filled with cosmetics. While Jeff's new Jeff the Business Shark outfit can be picked up for free, players who want to get the Invisible Woman's Disappearing Dessert outfit and Mister Fantastic's Dad-tastic Reed skin will need to purchase the premium version of the pass for 990 Lattice. Players looking to purchase even more cosmetics can be happy to know that Blade and Venom will be getting new skins in the in-game store.
Players looking for a deal might want to check out Marvel Rivals' Black Friday sale, which will launch on November 28. Fans will immediately be able to take advantage of a 20% discount on merchandise that launched in Season 3 or earlier, but the savings will continue to stack as players purchase more cosmetics. NetEase Games will also be bringing back the Season 1 Battle Pass for a limited time, giving players who missed it the first time around another chance to pick up some neat cosmetic options. It seems like Marvel Rivals has just started its anniversary party, as the patch mentions that more content and free rewards will arrive on December 4th. With so much content to enjoy and even more on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future Marvel Rivals.
