How to unlock Meridian Touch
The Meridian Touch side quest can be activated by traveling to the correct area. Travel or fast travel to Stonewash Strand boundary stone. When you see stone people, you know you're in the right place. Further into the area, over a small body of wateris a man who stands completely still as if a statue himself.
This is Yan Qirenand he will be your assigner. The option to interact appears when it's close enough, and it starts a back and forth discussion about Qiren's son.
Once the discussion is over, he will agree to teach you the mysterious art of Meridian Touch. Follow the instructions on the screen when you focus on Yan Qiren, you will be given three options to choose from: Immobilized, Overjoyed, and Itchy.
After you select “Immobilized”will you free Yan Qiren from his ailments, and he will realize that you are not actually his son. Meridian Touch is one acupoint technique which can be used on enemies or people with an ailmentsuch as Yan Qiren, or on a bound Qi stack. It can also be used to complete some Meow Meow puzzles or other tasks you may encounter while adventuring.
If you want to practice the mysterious skill, you can return every day to find Yan Qiren in a different position, completely still. Repeat the steps to free him.
