Fortnite reveals new event with free cosmetics

Epic Games has officially announced that a new event is coming Fortnite on November 19 is called Party Up Winter Rush, which will encourage players to link up with friends in a variety of game modes to earn XP and free cosmetics. Fortnite is currently preparing to launch Chapter 7 of the popular Battle Royale, an event that will likely introduce players to a brand new map and fresh gameplay features.

Until Chapter 7 makes its official debut, players can enjoy the current collaboration between Fortnite and The Simpsons. Right now, fans can run around a fully cel-shaded map that resembles the art style of the hit TV series. The map even features a mix of iconic locations from Fortnites island and the city of Springfield. According to Epic Games, the crossover has been a huge success, as Battle Royale has seen its biggest influx of new and returning players since the 2024 holiday season. It seems the developers may be looking to build on that momentum with the announcement of the game's upcoming Winter Rush event.

In a recently released trailer, Epic Games revealed that Fortnite players will be able to participate in the upcoming Party Up Winter Rush event from November 19th to November 29th. From what has been revealed, it seems the purpose of the event is simple enough. Players simply need to log into the game, party with friends and earn XP in a variety of game modes to earn free cosmetics in Fortnite. According to the trailer, fans will be able to do this in most Fortnites game modes, such as Delulu, Brick Life, Blitz Royale, Rocket Racing, Festival, Reload, Save the World and more.

While Epic Games hasn't released a full list of the rewards on offer in the Party Up Winter Rush event yet, the trailer focuses heavily on an unreleased skin and back fade that seems to put a new spin on the Cuddle Team Leader concept. Besides potentially getting one for free Fortnite skin and back bling, players may be able to claim a fresh reaper that appears to be two pink baseball bats with the Cuddle Team Leader symbol on them. However, it is possible that some of the cosmetics shown in the trailer will not be included in the free rewards.
