It's time for One Piece to enter another time jump after 15 years

One Piece is currently in the Elbaf arc, which is really the first major challenge for the Straw Hat Pirates since the last saga began. Egghead was certainly an exciting step, but the vast majority of the arc was just focused on securing Vegapunk's escape and getting off the island for good. The real conflict of One Piece's The Final Saga really begins with the Elbaf arc. Fans have already seen the likes of Imu and the Holy Knights overrun the landand Luffy, along with his crew, must deal with this problem.

One Piece's Elbaf arc will most likely continue for over a yearand when that happens, it's a given that new adventures will be brewing for the crew. What most fans don't realize is that the post-Elbaf scenario in the One Piece world is going to be crazier than expected because Oda plans a new timeskip heremore important than ever before. One Piece has already seen a big time jump after the Paramount War, where the Straw Hats were trained for two years, and now another, slightly different one is on the way. The basis for the time jump was laid by Oda himself after careful and very well thought out planning, and it all slowly comes to the surface.

Elbaf's time dilation will give a piece a unique time jump

In Oda's One Piece, every single dialogue has a huge meaning. Fans know for sure that anything Oda writes in his manga can have a huge meaning, sometimes even years later. That's why sharp-eyed fans would have noticed Oda sets up Elbaf to get a different perception of time compared to the rest of the world. Elbaf is a land of giants and everything here is massive, but it seems this doesn't just apply to the people here, or the flora, it can even apply to abstract concepts like time.

The time in Elbaf may not be perceived as being outside the country. Now, this does not necessarily mean that time flows more slowly in Elbaf. In fact, if anything, it has already been proven not to be the case. Elbaf's time flows on at the same pace as the rest of the world. The time Dorry and Brogy spent out of matches with the time the Giants spent looking for them. But the sense of time itself is dampened in Elbaf, and that is a fact.

Louis Arnote's warning is important

At the very beginning of Elbaf, fans saw a note of the famous explorer, Louis Arnoteand he simply said:

“Don't overstay your welcome in Elbaf”

On the surface, fans couldn't quite tell what to make of it. But with more clues, it's become clear that this means losing track of time as they continue in Elbaf. The biggest proof of this is Scopper Gaban. In One Piece chapter 1152, Scopper met Gaban Shanks again, and when the two spent time together, they talked about the disbandment of the crew. For Gaban it had been 3 or 4 years, but Shanks stated it had been 10 years ago.

To add to that, the Holy Knights have barely spent any time in Elbaf, though The Imu themselves appeared and complained that they took too long, when it shouldn't be possible. In Elbaf, everything is around 3.5 times larger. Giants live about 3.5 times the life of an average humanand almost everything else is 3 times bigger. It makes sense that time probably feels over 3 times “bigger” even in this country.

The World Of One Piece will be more chaotic than ever after the new Timeskip

One Piece's the next time jump is already on its wayand it's more exciting than ever before. In this case, fans will be with the Straw Hats during the time jump in Elbaf. But by the time the crew leaves the country, time in the world outside will have passed much faster. If the 3-4 times equation is correct, if the Straw Hats spend a month in the country, then 3-4 months may have passed in the outside world, and this means that the war would have developed a lot, especially when it comes to the revolutionary army and the world government.

It also means that Shanks will have made huge movesas well as Blackbeard. Most importantly, fans may even get to see the Cross Guild battle against the Navy as months will have passed after Elbafwhich means the world will become more chaotic than ever before.
