How to set up Keyman Lockdown (and how to use it) in Inazuma Eleven Victory Road

Under Chapter 3 of Inazuma Eleven: Victory Roads Story Mode, players must prepare for their duel with the baseball club. Part of that preparation is putting Keyman Lockdown into Team Dock's tactics, though the way it's done may not be immediately obvious. This guide is intended for players who are confused about how to set up Keyman Lockdown Inazuma Eleven: Victory Roadand it also explains how to use the tactics in a match.

While players should have no problem setting up Keyman Lockdown, there is a problem with using it when controlling the game with a keyboard and mouse. This issue will be elaborated on in the final section of this guide, although players are advised to use a controller if possible.

How to set Keyman Lockdown in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road

Buy Keyman Lockdown Tactic

The first step towards setting up Keyman Lockdown is to buy the tactic, and it can be bought at Friendly match – At the football club's room marker on the west side of South Cirrus Junior High. The previous slides will help players find that marker, and here's what to do when they find it:

Buy Keyman Lockdown for three Zeal Tokens.

Set Keyman Lockdown

After purchasing the tactic, players should open the menu and navigate to The Team Dock tab at the top. Players should then look near the lower left corner of the screen, where they will see “Team Dock RPG.” There will be input to the right of that text, and players should tap it to enter Team But SO menu. Here, players should select one of the empty tactic boxes under their manager's portrait and select Keyman Lockdown from the list that appears to set it.

How to use Keyman Lockdown in Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road

Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road players will be instructed to use Keyman Lockdown after taking their first shot during the duel with the baseball club. While there is a brief in-game tutorial on how to use the tactic, here's an overview of the process for players who need it:

Controls

Players using a controller to play Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road can perform a Keyman Lockdown by taking these actions:

Keep L1/LB to make the set tactic appear in the lower right corner of the screen.
Press the input associated with the Keyman Lockdown. This should be Triangle/Y.
Move the joystick towards the target (Thierry in this case). This will cause a orange ring to move across the field.
When the target is inside the ring, press Confirm input to execute the tactic.

Keyboard & mouse

It seems like running Keyman Lockdown on a keyboard and mouse should be pretty similar to running it on a controller, and the preliminary steps are. In fact, players should hold Tab to bring up the tactic inputs and then press the one associated with Keyman Lockdown to initiate the maneuver. However, selecting the target after the tactic has started doesn't seem to work as expected, as players will find that they cannot move the aforementioned orange ring with their mouse or keyboard. While this issue may be fixed in a future update, here are the options players can currently use to work around it:

Initiate Keyman Lockdown when the character who will use the tactic is right on top of the target. This should make it possible to confirm the target without moving anything.
Configure a virtual controller to emulate controller inputs.
