Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will be delisted on November 15th
As revealed in an announcement on Steam, Battlestar Galactica Deadlock will be removed from all platforms on November 15, along with all of its DLC. The reasons for the delisting have now been clarified by developer Black Lab Games, although it clarified that those who purchase and own the game after November 15th will still be able to play “without any restrictions”, which is good news for fans of its multiplayer strategy components.
Right now there is no extra discount on Battlestar Galactica Deadlockand it is unclear whether one will be granted before the delisting. It currently costs $39.99 to buy on Steam, which isn't exactly cheap, but for Battlestar Galactica fans who don't want to miss out on the title, this is the last chance to grab it. It is worth noting that Battlestar Galactica Deadlock was actually given away for free a few months ago, but that deal is long gone.
Steam delistings are always frustrating, especially when it comes to long-running franchises like Battlestar Galacticawhich may bring even more fans in the future who want to try out its previous offerings. Just recently, a classic horror game was removed from Steam without warning, highlighting the problems with this being possible, that games can disappear without fans getting a chance to add them to their library. Games are removed for various reasons, the most common of which is expired licenses. Why Battlestar Galactica Deadlock is being delisted is still unknown.
