Pokemon Legends: ZA may only have 230 Pokemon available in the base game, but who needs more options when Pokemon like Absol are among the strongest Dark options in the game? Fortunately, not only is Absol one of the coolest and strongest Mega Evolutions you'll find, but it's also a guaranteed addition to your Pokémon Legends: ZA midgame team once you've progressed the story far enough.
However, there is more than one way to get an Absol, so you can hunt down this Pokemon in a shiny way once you've advanced far enough through the story. Here are all the ways to get an Absol in Pokemon Legends: ZA.
How to get an Absol & Absolite
The first available Absol can be added to your team by completing Main Quest 009: Chase That Mysterious Pokemon. You have to chase Zygarde across a small part of Lumiose City until it leads you to your first Rogue Mega Pokemon battle against an Absol.
You will fight Absol with a Mega Lucario that you borrowed from A-Z.
When you defeat Rogue Mega Absol during this mission you will add Absol to your party and receive Absolutely Mega stone, which allows you to evolve Absol into Mega Absol.
This Absol comes at level 30 and will likely be one of your strongest Pokemon when you receive it.
Where can you find Absol in the wild?
In addition to the guaranteed Absol and Absolite you get from the main quests, you can also find Absol in a handful of locations in Lumiose City:
|
Place |
Details |
|---|---|
|
Wild Zone 20 |
Only playing as an Alpha Pokémon in the center of the Wild Zone, under the tower. |
|
A Jaune Sector 5 Rooftop |
The roof is between Wild Zone 8 and Jaune Sector 8, to southwest of sector 8. Climb up ladder near the Jaune Pokemon Center and leave westward over webbing and roofs until you encounter Absol. |
|
A Magenta Sector 7 Rooftop |
On one roof only northwest of Wild Zone 7. Used holovator in sector 5, then glide over to the roof west of the building directly northwest of Wild Zone 7. |
These locations can be hard to find since they're not in a Wild Zone, but they're the only options if you want to get your hands on a shiny version of this powerful Dark-type Pokémon.
