By now, we're all very aware that Need for Speed, Battlefield and SKATE are all Electronic Arts properties, and aside from Need for Speed, which is currently on hold, all have received new entries. As it turns out, there may actually be more than just a shared publisher and collaborator for these titles.
As shared on Twitter by Cameron Leverton, the ads seen in this trio of games have all been seen in each of the universes.
For example, Double Dip Donuts, a fictional business found in Need for Speed Unbound, can also be found in the world of Battlefield 6, as well as in SKATE's own world San Vansterdam.
Things got even wilder when a commenter shared that the same ads are featured as sponsors in EA's own UFC game.
While many were quick to start speculating that this means EA's games all share the same universe, AKA EACU (EA Cinematic Universe), this could just be a prime example of asset sharing.
That said, it wouldn't be the first time games share the same world with other games.
Movies aren't the only things with shared universes
While we still don't have confirmation of a potential EACU, we do know for sure that Dishonored and Deathloop take place in the same world, as do all the Remedy games like Alan Wake, Control, and Quantum Break.
Lest we forget, Titanfall and Apex Legends are also connected, although Titanfall fans would almost certainly like to pretend Apex doesn't exist due to not getting any new games and all. That is, the shared universe has been done before, but we can also complicate some asset sharing.
