Breaking bath Has long been regarded as one of the biggest TV series ever made, and although much of it depends on the brilliant story from creator Vince Gilligan, the show would not have succeeded without its star play. Bryan Cranston, of course, led the series in his iconic, Emmy-award-winning role as canceridd chemical teacher Walter White. But it was Cranston's co -star, Aaron Paul (Breaking bathThe Western worldThe Bojack Horseman), whose role that Jesse Pinkman led the show to his emotional core. Since then, not only Paul's career has Skyrocket in the television industry, but after several years of success he has finally accepted his very first video game as Robert Robertson in Adhoc Studio's upcoming superhero workplace comedy Dispatch.
In the gaming industry, the developers are constantly hunting, not only for great talent, but also for unique and memorable voices. Given that Aaron Paul is often recognized for his raspy, expressive and emotional vocal delivery, it is strange that he is currently breaking the gaming world. However, there is nothing wrong with game developers, since Paul himself has held on to these reins and simply awaits the right moment. Game Rant recently sat down with DispatchAaron Paul to talk a little about his role as a superhero-turned-dispatcher Robert Robertson, during which he explained what made him finally decide to give in and become a video game character for the first time.
For Aaron Paul controlled “Dispatch” all boxes ”
As Robert Robertson plays Aaron Paul DispatchS's main character-a superhero who otherwise known as Mecha man whose MECH costume is destroyed in a battle, which forces him to take a job at a superhero stove party while his suit is repaired. On the surface it sounds like a funny installation for a comedy in the workplace, but Paul found something deeper within the game's script that made him take his first role as a video game character. On the question of what made him say “yes” to DispatchPaul replied:
“To be honest I have always loved the media – games. I have been offered many games before, it just never felt right. And I love animation, so I have been spoiled in the animated space. I have been spoiled in this space in general, but this really was checked all the boxes. really in love with the tone. ”
In reality it says a lot about Dispatch That it would be Paul's first role in the game space, given that he rejected every role he has been offered until this point. When a talent that is celebrated as Aaron Paul is this selective, it gives the project that they finally say “yes” to some credibility – even if it naturally raises expectations as well. In the end it suggests that Dispatch Can be much more than a game with a known name attached and instead a story that seems built to challenge and inspire the type of actor who does not say yes easily.
It wasn't just the script for Dispatch However, Paul got to take the leap. During the interview, Breaking bath Alun had a lot to say about his friend Jeffrey Wright (Western worldThe Casino RoyaleThe Batman), who plays Robertson's mentor, Chase, in the upcoming game. After working with Wright on Western worldand then see him log in to DispatchPaul had a feeling that he was in something special with the title. The actor continued:
“Obviously, The People Behind It Had An Incredible Pedigree Within The Space, So I Was Excited. Jeffrey Wright Had Already Signed On, And I Quickly Realized Why He Signed On After Reading These Scripts. It was just SUCH A COOL BIG. Also Pretty Dramatic and Traumatic. The More You Play This Game, The More You Sort of Get To Know The Characters Within The Game, and You Become More Emotionally Invested.
Of course there is much more to DispatchRobert Robertson than meets the eye, and it is probably also true for the rest of its talented role. After all, this is that Paul's first video game role is an early story that Adhoc Studio's upcoming narrative adventure may have the same emotionally gripping core as the actor's second work (as Breaking bath) are known for. At least with such a power cast – including those like Jeffrey Wright, Laura Bailey and Matthew Mercer – it is clear that Dispatch aims to entertain at every turn.
