Fortnite is called by Doja Cat after a “Cringe” marketing stunt

Halloween is just around the corner and that means everything is about to be a little scary. In order to get the festivities, Fortnite has collaborated with Doja Cat and will add two skins with her iconic look to the game, along with some other scary sweets. To build up to the event, Doja Cat even took over the Fortnite Twitter account, but an unfortunate tweet led to a small pond between both parties.

A tweet went up yesterday on Fortnite handling with a selfie by the singer to announce that she would take over the handle for some time. After some fun tweets, they went up and said: “Mother of Rose Toys”, which refers to adult sex toys. While Doja Cat is known to be so brave, many were worried that the tweet was on the handle of a children's game, including Doja Cat himself.

Doja Cat and Fortnite's collaboration did not come to a good start

As a discovery of Polygon, the artist not only responded to the now removed tweet from her official handles, but also revealed that it was not her writing tweets. “S ** T CRINGE AS FUCK[.] Now I'm embarrassed, “wrote Doja Cat.” I told them not[.] Man who is not even me, “she wrote in an answer to the platform.” I said this yesterday and then said “Don't send it” “

When a fan pointed out that she lied to cover after the setback, she replied sarcastically: “I when I wish someone tweeted something similar to a bunch of children.” This caught fans surprisingly, because they thought Doja Cat was actually tweeting from the Fortnite account. When asked who is actually tweeting, she said: “How should I know?”

While these types of Instagram and Twitter takeover are quite common, no one actually shares the login information. Instead, it is a pre -approved list of tweets/interactions approved by both parties. It looks like someone at Fortnite's end did not get the message when Doja told them not to go with it.
