No man's sky developer Hello Games has done a fantastic job over the past nine years and transformed an absolute disaster into one of the industry's most beloved titles with free update on free update. Back when No Man's Sky was first launched, Hello Games was seen as one of the industry's biggest villains, but you now have people who promised their firstborn to co -founder Sean Murray for even the sneakiest of PEEKS on Light No Fire.
It is safe to say that the studio has won back the fans' confidence, but it wasn't until the release of No Man's Last update that you could claim the game's redemption arch was finally done. Voyagers is the latest in a long line of impressive updates to No Man's Sky, letting players create their own custom spaceships, leave your ship in space whenever you want and much more.
No man's sky latest patch has caused the highest nail in players since launch
Unlike previous updates, Voyagers was apparently impressive enough to cause a giant nail to No Man's Sky's Playerbase. During the course of the trip updates and subsequent corrections, no man's sky gamers have risen from a 24-hour top of about 9,000, all the way up to 98,285 earlier today, almost cracking 100,000 player brand.
It is an extremely impressive number of players and is actually the highest nail that the game has seen since its launch. No man's heaven has ever broken the 90,000 player barrier after launching once before in the whole story, and it was all the way back in July 2018 when no man's heaven was shot out.
It is a strong proof of how the general view of No Man's Sky has changed in recent years, and if Hello games plan to continue supporting the game even when Light No Fire is ready and waits, it feels as if the game can continue its up track and return to the hype that we looked back at launch.
