Square Enix has announced that Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake has gone gold, long before its long -awaited launch on October 30, 2025. was announced in June 2024, Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake is an upgraded version of the original two games that came out in 1986 and 1987 respectively.
After the success of 2018 Octopus traveling and 2022's Live a liveSquare Enix gave the HD-2D treatment to its long-lasting Drake Quest series. In November 2024, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake Came out to very positive reviews and also continued to become a commercial hit. Then the Japanese gaming giant looks to revive the remaining two games in the original Drake Quest trilogy, with Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D RemakeLaunch and completed Franchise's HD-2D remake Trifecta.

In a Twitter post, Drake Quest Franchise's official account shared the news about Dragon Quest 1 & 2 HD-2D Remake Go gold, add bed any doubt about its rapid launch over PC and consoles.
